I recently acquired the remaining inventory in my estranged husband's electronics shop and have finally started the daunting task of sorting through the shelves of items. Most of which are new in boxes, baggies or parts bins. This MatMate Cutter was not in the original packaging. But it was put away in a box and I don't believe it was ever used. There are 5 blades plus a new package of 10 and the operating instructions are with it. After I researched this cutter, I realized that the second piece does not come with the cutter- but it may have been an optional attachment that was purchased at the same time. It seems the second piece can be screwed into the same base- perhaps it is for drawing instead of cutting? I'll let you figure out the puzzle! This cutter was purchased from Lee Valley Tools- the reorder form was still in the ... morebox and I'll include it in the package. Here is information on it which includes this description: This mat cutter will cut bevelled ovals with major axes from 4-1/2" to 24" The maximum axis difference is 3" at any size. It will also cut bevelled circles from 4-1/2" to 21" in diameter in material up to 3/16" thick. Constructed of high-impact plastic with a steel graduated measuring bar and a brass knob.
