Powis Parker Fastback 15xs Tape Paper Book Binder Machine w Strips! TESTED READ!
Up for sale or best offer is one Power Parker Fastback 15xs Electric Thermal Book Edge Binding Machine w/ Lot of Various Size Fastback Strips! Unit recently removed from operation due to equipment changes/upgrades. Number on the bind counter is: 16.550. Unit plugged in. Powered on, and heated up. Heats up nicely with LCD screen alerting you in it's'Warming Up' stage and'Ready to Bind' stage. Heating up takes approx. 9 minutes. I powered on the unit, let it cool down, and restarted it up multiple times. Each time it did exactly what it started up and warmed up just as it should. To test. I bound multiple stacks of blank paper with the strips. Most of the time, it bound nicely. Sometimes, it seems the strip would not fully sealed on one side of the stack of paper and you had to pull it out of the machine. I found it helpful ... moreif you bend the strip a little more that it already is. When inserting the strip into the machine, it sucks it right in. Sometimes, it pushed it back out because it was not fed correctly. I found that pushing it in helped it read it. Could be that the strips are old too? ALSO. MACHINE COULD POSSIBLY NEED A LITTLE CLEANING INSIDE FROM SOME DRIED GLUE/ADHESIVE BUILD UP ON THE PARTS. HAVE NOT ATTEMPTED CLEANING, REMOVING ANY GLUE. UNIT SOLD'AS IS' WITH NO RETURNS. PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS TO FULLY UNDERSTAND CONDITION. WHAT IS INCLUDED, AND THE BINDING SAMPLES/TESTS THAT I PERFORMED. ALSO INCLUDED IS: OVER 1000 STRIPS OF VARYING SIZES/COLORS.
