Both items demonstrate nice functionality. Have good display intensity, no phosphor burn-in and are housed in a very clean rack mount, Pic#10. Both units have various capabilities and we have not verified all of the combinations in which they may be used. We have however verified functionality based on the following specific comments: REGARDING THE 1740A: a) Composite or component NTSC signals can be connected to any or all of eight input channels. We verified all eight input channels appear to function ... morecorrectly. b) Each type of waveform display has one level of magnification which can be selected by the front panel MAG button which we verified to be functioning. c) The five buttons arranged vertically to the right of the display are used to toggle various on-screen menus and operational conditions. The functionality of the menus and various set-up attributes appears to be correct based on our inspection using a Tektronix 1740/1750 series operations manual.
