Stewart SunBeam ClipMaster 51-1 Vintage Livestock Clippers
This is a used vintage livestock clippers from Clipmaster. Model 51-1. For it's age and sitting in a shed it is in pretty good condition. It actually runs even and has the original power cord with no nicks or damage. Many of the other of these I have seen have the plug replaced) Now, I don't know if anyone would actually intend to use these anymore, but if you do, I would clean it up a little on the inside and give'er some oil. It gives off a little bit of an ozone smell when you run it but might just need to be cleaned and broke in. It has electrical tape around it holding one of the brushes in. But I think that just adds character. Hey, that's how it was back then, people made do with what they had! As does the rust and dirt on the plug. Which will come off with some effort I'm sure. Anyway, enough parentheses. I didn't ... morerun this very long when I tested it and I'm selling it as-is. But I'm guessing you want it more for aesthetics than practical use. If you want to shear you horse I'm hoping you would get a new model you can get replacement parts for! Sure would make a nice vintage decoration for your barn, shed, garage, etc! Here you have a used. But very good condition goat handling chute. It was manufactured by D-S Livestock Equipment in Frostburg, MD. Great manufacturer where the owner is hands-on and very customer oriented) He listens to the needs of farmers and designs equipment accordingly. Here is a description from the D-S Livestock site: very heavy duty construction. This 24-inch high deck is ideal for deworming. Ear tagging, trimming hooves, giving shots, and all sorts of other things. The unit comes complete with a 5-foot long ramp to a 24-inch high deck that has a drop gate at the top of the deck. The deck and ramp have a tread plate floor for sure footing. There is right and left side access doors on both sides of the deck, with a manual head gate at the front. The head gate has a swing-out cage. The head gate never needs adjustment and is suitable ... morefor different sized animals. Automatic head gates do not work on decks or with horned animals. Our unique head cage allows the head gate to be opened wide so animals can come farther forward. But can't jump through. When the head gate is released, the animal usually backs up and can exit from the right or left side. Down ramps only get in the way! This unit has a manual headgate with the features described above. Please note that this unit is painted blue(not galvanized) It has been kept under a barn roof since Day 1 and is in very good condition.
