For auction is one Modutec meter movement 0-200uA. Tested and working fine. There is a minor crack in the plastic cover that will not show when the meter is panel mounted. This will not affect proper operation. The Legend on the meter face is scaled for a high voltage ac voltmeter but can be swapped by removing the plastic front cover. This is a very common meter in high potential(HiPot) insulation testers and requires a voltage divider and rectifier to drive the meter properly. Large Electrical Meter GE 500 Microamp Great for Science Fair Project Visibility
These are 2 GE 500 microampere D'Arsonval movement meters in plastic cases which mount in 1.75 x 5.75 inch rectangular panel hole- for vertical mounting. The scale length is about 4.5" with 0-50 marking and the coil resistance is about 122-125 ohms[you need to add appropriate resistors/ shunts for voltage or current measurement- about 60 millivolts full scale. Bezel is 6" tall over all. D'arsonval meter movement is in good shape. GE 113 EMEM1 LPT model noted on back tag. They open up easily with four screws in back and 2 on the cover over the needle- you can install your own made up scale or paint the pointer orange or whatever. 1 has adjustment screw missing but can be adjusted[zeroed] and the other has chip off upper left corner bezel which does not impede reading the meter scale. The important parts of the meters are ... morein excellent working condition. There appear to be minor external case stress fractures where the clips slide onto the cases- I'm not sure just how these clips work- there's an adjustment screw and spring and slots in the exterior case for the clip to fit into. I see the possible fractures looking into the interior of the cases- hard to see- they don't affect the meter movements. The scratches on the sliver paint look like cracks but the cases are NOT cracked[Other than possibly noted where the clips fit] I have shorting wires on the meter terminals to damp the movement while handling or shipping. These came from some commercial power plant monitoring equipment many years ago- the Arapahoe 1 Megawatt and 3 Megawatt power plants which are labeled on the meter faces- they look impressive for this type of meter. These are great for high visibility projects such as in Science Fairs- the analog scale is much easier to visually track change than digital readout which may be hard to tell if a reading is moving up or down and is impossible to read in electrically noisy conditions.
