Vintage Simpson 260 series 5, volt ohm milliammeter, w/ tambour roll top case
Vintage Simpson 260 series 5. Volt ohm milliammeter, w/ tambour roll top case, unusual config. Found this Simpson 260 Series 5 with a feature it is not supposed to have until the Series 5P or 5M. It shows the Taut Band Suspension. Which is not present on any other Series 5 I have seen. Took the case off with the intention of putting batteries in to verify that it worked. Found a fuse had one lead hanging off. So this is untested, sold as-is. Looks clean. With no corrosion on battery connectors. Case is in great condition. Tambour door works fine as well. One other unusual thing is that there are stamps of the state of Wisconsin on several locations. One is in the battery area. And the other is on the bottom of the case. The manual is for the Series 6.

Vintage Simpson 260 Series 7 volt ohm milliammeter(VOM) multimeter in very nice and working condition. Test prods and carrying case are included. Battery compartment is clean. Uses one D size and one 9v. battery(installed a few months back and still good- both batteries are included. No owners manual but can be easily downloaded online. Item weighs nearly 5 lbs. So have given 3 options for shipping- depending on your area the USPS medium flat rate may be the best.
