I'm listing this truck for a friend. This is a 1980 international paystar 5000 winch truck. Has a 325 inch wheelbase. Cummins 250 engine with jake brake. 5&4 transmissions. Double frame, with a Braden MS20-18B winch. Power steering, 10:00-20 rear tires and flotations on front. Dayton wheels, nice bed with gin poles, tail roller rolls with one finger. Truck needs a little tlc but could make a nice rig up truck. Runs and holds good oil pressure, but has an injector knock. We have a small reserve and this will be a steal for someone to buy. Vintage Approx. 4.5" Oil Gas Water Well Tri-Cone DRILL DRILLING BIT Brass Plated
For auction is this vintage. Used, tri-cone, brass plated, 4.5" oil, gas, water well drilling bit. I acquired this well drilling bit from an old retired oil well platform engineer who had the bit brass plated back in the day. When I received the bit it was in the form of a lamp. I quickly disassembled the lamp and removed the bit as I desired the piece for display upon my bookshelves rather than its functionality. The drill bit is built from very heavy steel weighing(10) ten pounds and measuring approximately 6.75" in height. 2.0" in width at the tapered top and 4.50" in width and diameter at the bottom where the bits cutting teeth are located. Because the bit was plated the cones no longer spin as they have been welded into position prior to the plating process. This bit is a"looker" not a"worker" ... morebit. Although at least 40 years old. The bits brass plating remains to be in very good condition with very minor loss showing on a few edges of the piece. I took photos of the spots where some of the plating had flaked off the piece. Upon closer examination, it appears this bit may have been double plated because on the small spots where the plating flaked off a gold colored base can be seen. Please refer to the description photos for more details to what I have described. Overall. This is a very nice looking and attractive representation of an authentic, vintage, oil, gas, water well drilling bit and collector would appreciate owning and adding to their collection. As previously stated, I used this piece as a bookend in my home library. Because it is brass plated and shines nicely it is an eye catcher and is sure to catch the attention and imaginations of all who see it. Vintage DeepRock Well Drilling Equipment
Vintage Deeprock Well Drilling Rig Drill your own irrigation well! Rig includes auger& tower. 20 drilling pipes(slightly less than 5' each for total of about 100' several different types of drilling bits, hoses, and mud pump. Drills down to 100 feet deep. Can do horizontal drilling too. Drill a 30' well in sand within 2-3 hours, pumping water 30 minutes later. Drill a 100' well in sand within 14 hours, pumping water the next day. 3' 2" well point and any other leftover stuff I used to put in my wells. Comes with drilling instructions& extra documentation. There is a rock coring bit. but never tried drilling through rock. It did work for a drilling a hole through concrete so I could get my pipes through the pump house floor! It made a clean cut, but also did take a while. We had just completed drilling a 93' ... morewell(30 gpm due to limitation of pump) and if we had thought of it earlier. We would have taken pictures while we were drilling. Started at 7:00am and finished at 8:00ish pm. There are three long poles that make up the tripod. Large base that holds the poles in place as well as a top unit with cable guides. On one of the poles there is a hand winch to raise/lower the hole auger. One of the long tripod poles is slightly out of calibration(we got it that way) We are going to put it on a flat table and try to get it back into a straight pole. This unit breaks down for ease of moving. Will fit in pickup truck or even a small car that has fold down seats. Some of the bits may need to be re-conditioned. Not that hard if you have a torch. You heat up the bit till it is glowing red. Then dip the bit into tungsten carbide mixture(which comes with the unit and still have plenty of) Had local shop touch up some of the bits for me since they were dull when I got them. If I can get a friend to do me a favor. tips will be recondition shortly. If your seriously interested. Since my grandfather’s death. That being said. I’m afraid I may not know much about each item but I’ll do my best to describe it and gladly answer all questions so please just ask if you have any questions. The Drill bit is used and appears it was painted black for perhaps decorative purposes or to stop the bit from rusting. I honestly have no idea what it was used for but I do know that it came from my grandpa’s estate. So my best guess is that it came from the Kansas Oil field. The three teeth. Or cones, not sure what they’re called, are frozen in place and do not turn. The Drill bit is roughly 6” tall and 3 3/4” at the widest point.
