Metal Oil Derrick / Oilwell Drilling Rig Model / Nice Trophy or Gift
These are two really nice high quality models of Standard Oil Derricks/ Drilling Rigs. Nice models like these are rare. I purchased both of these over 30 years ago. They have a lot of detail with drillpipe standing in the derrick, a drilling line with crown sheaves and an actual set of blocks. They have production trees/ wellheads attached to the base with 2 casing valves, a single master valve and dual flowline valves. The larger one has a 9" x 9" base and is 23" tall. the smaller one has a 6" x 6' base and is 14 1/2" tall. The derricks look to be both constructed with brazing rods and the remainder of the items are brass plated. The larger rig has a small split part of the way across the base which could be easily glued or replaced with wood, granite or whatever one prefers. I attempted to include good photos ... moreto show the nice craftsmanship and quality put into these by the builder but my photos don't do them justise. They are a bit dusty but they are both in excellent condition except for the split in the larger base as you can see in the photos. Oil Gas Water Well Tricone TCI Drilling Drill Rig Rock Sand Bit Large 12" 65#
Listing is for an oil& gas drill bit. I got this bit as part of an auction lot and honestly don't know much about it. The previous owner was an executive at an oil& gas company in Texas. This is a large and VERY HEAVY bit. It measures approximately 12" long x 7-1/8" at the widest part and weighs 65 pounds. Unfortunately I don't know enough about these to say it's exact condition. Obviously it's been used and I can see several of the teeth are broken and/or missing. I tried turning each of the cones by hand and one spins pretty easily. One takes a bit more force to spin and one doesn't spin at all by hand. All pictures shown are of the ACTUAL bit you will receive. You are looking at at a SIMCO EARTHPROBE Model 200 drill rig mounted on a 1998 Ford F 150 4 WD pickup. This unit was used in construction for drilling test holes for septic systems. It has a variety of uses including water wells. Post holes, core samples for oil industry. It can drill vertically or at angles up to near horizontal for drilling into banks etc. The unit is fully self contained, operated by a KOHLER COMMAND 20 HP motor with oil pressure sentry switch and electric start. The motor powers a PARKER HYDRAULIC PUMP which operates all the functions. The pump, lines and fittings are all in excellent shape with no wear-through on any lines and no leaks. This listing is for a 1978 24L alten loomis clipper. 4 Line Machine with a 4 cylinder continental motor with a 5 speed transmission mounted on a Ford F600. This Ford has some pickup and pulls the rig down the highway at 60 MPH with no problem, even some room to spare! Machine drills to 700 feet on 5/8 drill line and the machine is currently equipped with 400 feet on it now. This machine has a sand line auxiliary hoist and even has a fourth line on sheave for a cat head rope and shaft for cat heads. This machine comes to you ... moreFULLY TOOLED with fishing tools, two sets of spang jars, blocking, sand line bailer, a full circle socket fishing tool, an under reamer drive head, drive clamps, break out, and tightening tools! It even has all jacks needed to level the machine and the drill component is set up so that the truck does not need to be jacked. The ring is on a hinge so jacking is much more efficient and less labor intensive, aka saves you time and $$$! The telescoping mast goes to 40 feet with auto braces and the drill has a centering guide for the drill stem to start the hole for you. Rig is also useful for pulling large submersible pumps from very deep wells and to install large submersibles as well. The jack shaft is in good condition. This truck has been in outdoor storage in upstate NY for the past couple of years, it is going to need lubrication, probably a couple new tires and will need a new paint job! T he drill rig has a 6 cylinder Hercules engine. The condition of the motor is that it is free and turns over but will need some work to get it started. I believe it will need some carb work and maybe the gas lines cleaned. The drill rig is on a heavy duty trailer. It is very solid. It is a lo trailer which is best for drilling stability. The truck is detachable from the drill rig. The truck has a fifth wheel receiver as well as a 2 5/16" two and five sixteenths) hitch ball for pulling a trailer. So. You have both the hitch and the fifth wheel. It has a connection or lights. The drill tool is capable grilling an 8 inch well. It has two bailers and it includes the cable tool for working the drill. My best guessing is it looks like 200 feet of cable. More cable can always be added. The gears of the drill rig are in very good condition. ... moreThe truck is a little hard to start it may need some injector cleaner. The truck runs very good down the road. It has good tires. The power steering works very good. It is a 1985 Ford with an Allison Detroit Diesel engine, only 86,000 miles on the truck. There are 2 Bailers and an extra head for the drill. The mast for the drill stands up using a cable winch, not hydraulic. The winch is part of the rig. Ask questions and arrange to see this before buying.
