Thomas Vacuum Pump Model 2619CE44-932 Here's a nicely rebuilt Thomas Vacuum pump that I purchased from a reputable seller here on eBay. I was going to use it to power an additional vacuum press for wood veneering. Laminates and clamping. I first discovered these(like many others) as a result of the excellent information of vacuum presses on the veneersupplies.com web site run by Joe Gorleski, his wife and small crew that really provides excellent customer service, in addition to being one of the most definitive sources of information on vacuum presses and veneering on the Internet. This is not a paid spot for veneersupplies. But this pump will work nicely for you if you are building a vacuum press from one of Joe's kits- of which I happen to have a few extra parts for sale; I have built two vacuum presses based off the EVS Auto-Cycling ... morefree plan at veneersupplies.com. My first attempt in 2008 was not so good. However, I bought two of the EVS kits and followed the instructions. This led to a much better outcome than I had the first time around. This pump has actually not been used. But I have tested it and it runs AND ITS KIND OF LOUD LIKE LIKE AN AIR COMPRESSOR! As I mentioned the pump was rebuilt by a reputable seller here on eBay and should run for thousands of hours(just not thousands of hours continuously; I know electricity, but may not be able to answer all your questions about vacuum pumps and advantages of the different types of pumps available. I can answer your specific questions about this unit. Other than being a little bit dirty, this unit has some spot/surface-only rust that can taken care fairly easily. It comes with a nice capacitor for starting it as well as new wiring and some fittings you may or may not use. I normally accept returns on all items. This one is no exception. However. Because this pump has been rebuilt, the only reason I will accept it back is if it is DOA. This pump has the following markings on the inside tag: MODEL# 2107CA14 18 450~115 V~60 HZ~2.5 A~79 L~TI THOMAS INDUSTRIES INC. POWER AIR DIVISION SHEBOYGAN WISC. U.S.A. At the top there is a sticker marked"140" and another sticker marked"Exhaust" Underneath in the middle it is stamped"7263-2408 608130 J79" This pump has two flanged feet for mounting, two wires that when I plugged them into a hot outlet the motor ran great. This pump also has two fittings screwed in at the top with two hoses and a white plastic T-connector. Three of theese units appear to have never been used at all, but because it is no longer in the original packaging and has no warranty papers or manual, I can't prove that.
