I do not think that is normal but am not familiar with these units. The oil reservoir appears to not have any oil by looking at the sight glass. It does power on and creates good suction and exhaust. However I noticed that hydraulic/ vacuum fluid(some type of oil) is leaking from somewhere on this unit(maybe in more than one place) I did not want to run it long because I assume it is low on oil. Most likely this machine needs some type of seal rebuild kit. So I am selling this unit untested which may mean it could have other problems besides the leaks even though it seems to work properly.
