This power supply seems to work fine and it pulls a vacuum when I placed my hand over the inlet. It runs smooth and quiet. The motor is a ½ horse power GE and is number 5KC42JG14E. It is rather dirty and could use a good cleaning. All of the oil will be drained from the pump so that it won’t spill during shipping. This pump is very heavy at around 110 pounds. Shipping will be a bit on the expensive side as a result. I have 3 other vacuum pumps on eBay right now if you are interested in additional ones. This will not carry a return warranty. We bought this pump 5 years ago. But never used it. It has been sitting in our shop since. I believe it is a duo seal pump but am not sure. It will be drained for shipping. For Sale is a1402 pump welch Vacuum pump. s/n = 29907 I purchased this 6 years ago in"rebuilt" condition at an auction where an Aerospace company was going out of business. This was a spare in their Maintenance dept. The unit has a rebuilt tag on it from Midwest Vacuum pumps(see photo) Please look at the Photos. You will see it still has the paint on the masking tape from when it was rebuilt. I know it was rebuilt a some time ago. The unit was stored in a cabinet in my workshop. For sale is a used Sargent-Welch Model 1402 Duo-Seal Belt Drive Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump with a 1/2 hp GE motor. All are in excellent working condition. The belt was replaced with a new one. There are a few paint chips but nothing major. There was an oil leak around the oil cap but wrapping it with Teflon tape fixed it. The unit weighs 108 lbs. without packaging. Because of its weight I am sending it by freight. Since it is being shipped by freight the buyer has the option of also taking the cart with no additional purchase cost. Welch 1402 Duo-Seal Vacuum Pump, 5.6 CFM, 1/2 HP w/ Guard
Description: The Welch Duo-Seal 1402 is a two-stage. Rotary vane, belt driven vacuum pump. Welch started in 1880 and their pumps are still well known for their ruggedness world-wide. Low pump RPM reduces friction and wear while minimizing reservoir temperature to lessen chemical reactivity. The pump also has a large oil reservoir to dilute contaminants. It operates with a 1/2 HP reliable thermally protected GE motor, at 8.4 A, 115 V with a heavy duty power cord. Pumping speed is 5.6 CFM to a lower limit of 0.1 microns. Condition: The pump operates well and will create a strong vacuum but may benefit from a rebuild. One of the belt guard fasteners is missing(shown in pictures) but it does not affect the functionality and you could easily make a new fastener with a trip to the hardware store. The pump has some light rust in places but is overall ... morein good condition.
