Tektronix 2336 Ruggedized Dual Trace Oscilloscope
This 2 channel 100MHz Tektronix 2236YA scope has worked well for me for the past few years. I have been using it and have found no problem with it. Panel controls are in good repair and function well. Time delay between waveforms can be measured accurately using the bottom LCD readout. When sold new. The unit was rated at 50g mechanical shock for field service. It has a good solid case that closes nicely with a hinged front- Please see the photos. It's not exactly portable by today's standards, Yet it is a very friendly and clean scope that was handy to take to a project site without worrying too much about it getting damaged on the way. The trace displayed is sharper than other scopes I have owned. Voltage gains and time bases report as I would expect. Nevertheless. Offering a Tek 2440 Digital Storage Scope. Powers up to a self-tests screen that says it fails 7000 CCD. 8000 PA, and 9000 TRIGS. Cosmetic condition is nice. Estimated to be 24 years old. On back it appears to have option 11(FETProbe outlets) Serial# is B010793. CRT is bright and crisply focused. You are buying as-is, for parts or repair, no returns. No accessories, no book(book is widely available for download) Cost $10000 new, could be a bargain for someone who knows how to fix it or use it to fix another. Many parts may be common to other DSOs such as 2430/A and 2432/A. Once escaping from self tests, it appears to want to work but far from perfectly. Second photo shows a 2Vpp 1KHz signal fed into both channels set at 1V/cm and 1mS/cm. Problems seem more severe on CH2 than CH1. CH2 vertical deflection size varies with where it placed on ... morescreen. Also, up to sweep speed of 100microseconds/cm signal shapes look fairly correct, but at 50microseconds/cm and faster signals start to look noisy(transition is seen between 3rd& 4th photos) At least CRT, LVPS, and HVPS work correctly- those parts alone are worth the Buy It Now price. CRT is also used in all other 24_ scopes except 2467/B. If you have any questions, the scope was previously maintained by the person whose card appears on the back. You are welcome to ask him questions. I think he charges a flat $600 fee to fix such a scope.
