Tektronix 7A17 Amplifier plug-in. A versatile module that has a circuit prototyping area, and plenty of space in which to mount customized circuits. Super wide bandwidth: DC to 150 Mhz, and with orig. parts! Update components, and improve specs! This module has been tested. And works properly at this location and time. The last two photos show the hookup used. The top trace shows an accurate 20 mV pk-pk signal at 55 KHz. The lower trace shows the 7A17(with the internal GAIN control set to max) and the displayed signal is 100mV pk-pk(since the 7A17 outputs 50mV/div to the display) I believe the original design application for this unit is to compensate for line loss from the measurement location to the scope location, or as a method of displaying a normalized signal while compensating for a circuit loss, such as a filter network.
