HEIDENHAIN scales read in.0001 increments. The MPC4 dro has all the bells and whistles and is a complete metrology unit. It is a programmable readout. Has an RS232 port for communications. A complete manual for the comparator and the dro are included. unit has a screen with lines at 90 deg and 30 deg. This has a new screen which has degrees around the edge and has a lighted minutes protractor. This comparator was a shop unit that required a lot of cleaning. In addition we took the table and saddle off and cleaned and polished the Thompson rails and ultrasonic cleaned the linear bearings. Then repacked with grease and reassembled. I have a halogen bulb in it now, and can show that it works. But the halogen doesn't project light like the mercury bulbs do. It also has reflection that works. Magnifies up to 100x I believe.
