Union Pacific Model Locomotive - Desert Storm #3593 w/ photo
In 1991. The Union Pacific repainted one of their locomotives(type: SD 40-2) in desert camouflage to support the many employees they had deployed to Southwest Asia. This is an HO-scale model locomotive along with a photo of the actual locomotive in front of the North Little Rock shop shortly after the paint job was completed. The name of the Locomotive was dubbed Desert Victory. The unit was repainted back to standard UP yellow and gray on October 11, 1991. The model locomotive is attached to the base because it was used as a presentation gift.

You will need to use a drop of super glue to keep it in place at the top of the pole. Some very minor paint loss on the car body. It is my understanding that this car originally had the flat loop type of coupler system. It may have been a truck-mounted system. If it was a truck-mounted system. Then the trucks were replaced. Two different types of screws were used to remount( or replace) the trucks. It looks like the original owner cut off the original coupler pockets from the underframe of the car and added Kadee coupler pockets and horn hook couplers to the car. Varney HO scale 3-unit lash-up of Union Pacific F-3's. There are: 1) powered'A' Cab#1402. About the decals: one'N' and one'4' are missing, one of the'1's is half missing. the nose logo is perfect as are the marker board numbers. The motor has not been tested, both horns are intact and porthole and cab glass have been installed. There have been grab irons and handgrabs separately installed very nicely and the yellow and gray paint with red striping has been very neatly applied. There are separately applied handgrabs at 4 locations above the cab. 2) non-powered'B' unit. Cab#1456. One'U' is missing among the decalled lettering, otherwise the'Union Pacific' graphics are complete and applied well. All 8 footladders are intact and there are separately applied grab irons at each doorway ... moreand footladder. This is an unpowered'dummy' unit. 3) non-powered'A' unit. Cab#1508. Four of the letters on one side have suffered some partial to near-complete flaking, but the other side is complete(numbers and lettering) The cab and portholes are'glassed' in and the number boards are'numbered' cleanly. The nose decal looks complete. All 6 footladders are intact and there are separately applied hand grabs at each footladder and doorway. There are handgrabs above the cab windows at 4 locations. All 3 units have been painted sharply. The details have been applied uniformly and each unit is in EXCELLENT condition. The imperfections are the minor problems with the lettering& number decals. All 3 units are very attractive, they are each die-cast metal and are substantial in weight. Actual operation depends on installing a better motor/drive system. Shipping in the U.S. is 13.75. After I first bought it I had it on display and my son was looking at it and was playing with the walking planks at the front and rear of the engine. They somehow came off. Lionel Train 202 Union Pacific, 6014, 6017, 6112, All Logs, Runs, Motor 1957
This train has been tested and actually runs on a complete circular track. Need to take care to get the train on the track or it will fall off and stop. But once it is on it stays on and goes around in a circle. The lights work on the main train. Has been in storage for 28 years so it shows signs of storage. Log car has all 3 logs. This car shows the most rust. I tried to clean the cars best I could but all of them are still are a little dirty due to the long storage period. 6014 has rust on the bottom as well. Nothing busted off on any of the cars. How many of these can state that they actually run and have the full track. This is a hand me down from my dad. I played with this as a child.
