Kansai Special 2 needle chainstitch with fabric puller
Up for auction. 1 Kansai Special 2 needle chain stitch sewing machine with optional fabric puller( made in Japan) The needle spacing appears to be 9/16" as measured. don't know much about this machine except that the previous owner said it was used at his printing business to make sign banners and that it could also be used for canvas awnings or many other applications where this needle spacing and a chain stitch with a puller would be useful. The machine turns on and operates as it should, however I have no thread or knowledge of how to thread it up so I cannot test it out. The puller turns, and the loopers appear to be in sync with needles, so I don't think it has any major issues just needs someone to thread it properly and adjust the tension correctly. This auction is for an Antique Wilcox& Gibbs Cast Iron Portable Sewing Machine It is marked#14951. Which this site references as being made in 1858. It obviously needs some TLC. I started to clean up the plate to see the markings. And I had all the intentions in the world of using this beauty as a restoration project, but its been sitting in my shop for some time now and I figured I would pass this gem along to someone who loves it as much as I do! For a machine that is 120+ years old it appears to be in good shape- again. As you can see in the photographs, there's quite a bit of rust but everything turns nicely and there's even a needle still on it. There are other Wilcox& Gibbs out there for sale, many of which are more ornate. However, keep in mind those are much more recent. You are bidding on an antique Cornely K embroidery machine. The Cornely K does two thread cording. Chainstitch and moss(drop stitch) embroidery. This machine is in non working condition but could be restored. The handle turns but it requires effort. The thumb screw that holds the needle bar has been broken off and a portion of the screw is stuck in the hole(note close up of this section) The frame is in good shape other than the cylindrical part between the main portion of the frame and the handwheel. The handwheel is not attached. This machine is missing the nipples, presser foot, needle bar, springs, cording attachment(not necessary for chain and moss stitch) thread tension spring. 1898 Antique Willcox & Gibbs Coffin Top Treadle Chainstitch Sewing Machine Nice!
This is an antique Willcox& Gibbs"Coffin Top" treadle chain stitch sewing machine in excellent running condition. It appears to be all original with the exception of one wheel on the front right metal base. The sewing machine runs smoothly and still has most of its' gold decals and original factory gloss finish intact. There is very little paint loss and it has it has the beautiful scalloped base. The serial number B543826 dates it to 1898. Included is the key. Needle wrench, a sample of its' stitching and a reprint of the owner's manual and directions. Antique Singer chain stitch machine. 24 class, actually 24-39. Built 1904. Serial# B1206054. Purchased around 1910 for commercial use. Used industrially in the family NY garment center factory from 1919 until 1961. In the factory it was on a treadle base. And later electrified by a motor on the base. Has belt wheels. Later a hand crank was added for a specific job. It was further altered around 1919 for use in the shoe industry-part of the original base was cut away to create today's shape. the crank/wheel turns freely, needle bar moves well. Presser foot bar works, but I do not guarantee the the machine is in perfect working condition. The entire base plate was changed in 1919/1920 to the current larger work surface. Collector Antique Rare Singer Chainstitch Machine Excellent
I bought this Singer chain stitch machine 12 years ago for my collection. It is made in Prussia in 1908 C4721008. The black paint shines(no oxidation) with all decals present in great condition for it's age. The machine sews a lovely chain stitch smoothly and the handcrank operates well. It's small.about 11 inches across(the black metal part.No rust is present. The walnut case has a nice patina with the top cover decal present and the outside finish with a bit of weathering as you can see in the picture but actually looks attractive with no varnish cracks. Etc. One lower hinge is missing. It's quite a lovely machine to look at!

Up for auction today is a beautiful vintage three button sportcoat. This is a Harris Tweed Alexandre brand vintage piece from the 1940s. It is in good previously worn condition with some definite flaws. Brand: Alexandre Size: 44" chest based on measurements. Please refer to the measurements for fit. Measurements: 22" armpit to armpit. 33" from top of collar to the bottom edge, 18.5" shoulder seam to shoulder seam, 25" shoulder seam to the end of the cuff. Color: Charcoal and off white chainstitch Condition: In good overall condition. This coat has clear and definite yellowing to the white fabric. All around. Not in any particular spots perse, but the entire coat. It has a medium sized brown stain on the left elbow area, and a grouping of faint yellowing stains on the back bottom area. There are moth spots on the right ... morecollar, and the shoulder next to that. Similar spots on the lower back right and lower back left, and a couple small holes on the right cuff area. There is very light wear to the liner at the pocket, one small hole near the vent in the liner, and some water type yellow stains to the inside as well- mostly confined to the right inner shoulder and the upper neck. One of the right sleeve cuff buttons is missing. This is a unique stitch coat that is worth putting some care into, and the moth spots are difficult to pick out considering they blend very well into the pattern.
