Restored 1946 Singer 31-15 Commercial / Industrial Sewing Machine Sews Very Weil
this auction/listing is for a: Restored( fully serviced by me) 1946 Singer 31-15 Commercial/ Industrial Sewing Machine that Sews Very Well and operates very smoothly. this is a very heavy machine. by itself it's weighs about 48 lbs. the sewing bed rectangle dimensions are: 18 3/4" x 7" the height to the top of the upper most thread guide is ~ 13 1/8" the knee operated presser foot raising mechanism(underneath& on the back side of the machine) works great. here's the essential listing of what i did to this machine: i bought a new 31-15 bobbin case. Added 2 new bobbins that work very well on this machine, added a new needle, sanded/cleaned/shined/polished all metal parts as well as smoothed-out the roughness of the sewing bed area before i re-painted the entire machine(the underside did not get clear coated with a ... morepolyurethane sealant) added all new decals to this machine[including several"OIL- labels that were not on the machine previously.there are still more oil openings near the highest thread guide that are not labelled) a large original Singer decal still remains on the back side] Properly lubricated& adjusted this machine and got it to run very smoothly, thoroughly cleaned the tension unit& all the parts in the sewing head, and finally i sew tested this machine on 3 different fabrics: the red piece is 3 layers of cotton fabric with varying stitch lengths and so on.the black piece is 6 layers of soft suede leather that it sewed through easily.and finally the tan piece is 8 layers of carhardt denim/duck fabric(or whatever it's called) which again it sewed through without much effort.all done by just turn the hand wheel. look at my pictures for more detail& visual information. make a search for Singer 31-15 sewing machine user's guide on the Net and a pdf file for using this machine should be available.

this auction/listing is for: a very nice Restored& working Vintage Singer SLF-2 Industrial/Commercial Sewing Machine articulating Lamp. i think it is only missing the glass part that covers the end of the lamp. i acquired this lamp along with a 1946 Singer 31-15 commercial sewing machine from Troy. NY(which i will soon be listing here) i was told it had been used in the textile industry of Troy many years ago. i don't know the age of the Singer lamp. But i believe it is older than 1946.it may be older than 1930.i'm just not sure. anyway, here's what i did to this lamp: i removed the unsafe original power cord and replaced it with a brand new cord(i wrapped cord from inside the light socket/switch until slightly past the lower end of the protective pivoting metal tube that the cord passes through) i replaced the light bulb, ... morei cleaned all the parts, i re-painted all the black painted metal parts(the base was also coated with a polyurethane clear coating) the power cord is ~ 56" the lower end of the protective tube to the plug. the full extent of the vertical shaft from the floor is nearly 13" the circular base& the end of the lamp are both 3" in diameter. the overall height(as the frame's positioned currently) to the upper end of the power cord tube is ~ 14 1/4" this item weighs about 3 lbs and should weigh between 4-5 lbs when packaged& ready to ship. look at my pictures for more detail. take a look at my other listings& sewing machines if interested. i do not accept returns. i do my best to describe my items accurately. i will insure this item when i ship it via UPS. i will provide tracking information when i'm ready to/or have already shipped this lamp. depending on the final selling price for this auction/listing. Vintage Singer 201-2 Sewing Machine Heavy Duty Industrial & Bentwood Case 1950's
For sale is a vintage Singer Model 201-2 Sewing Machine circa the 1950's with nice Mercury Electric Made in USA foot pedal. Non original Singer power cord and bentwood case. This model has the motor built in and is called a"potted" motor and has no drive belt as the mechanism is gear driven. This machine should be easily capable of sewing multiple layers of thick material with the right needles and would make a great home/industrial machine at a fraction of the price of an industrial sewing machine. The machine is in good condition. Lamp and motor have been tested and appear to work well and run strong, though it may need some basic servicing. All parts necessary for operation appear to be present, it does not have the original 3 pronged power cord but included is a Singer power cord from a different model that works just fine. ... moreMachine has light/medium scratching throughout, an adhesive residue mark on the arm above the presser foot and some light corrosion on some of the bare/chrome metal pieces and a few small chips/residue on the finish, some light wear on the gold decals. The bentwood case has a large adhesive residue mark. Some white paint stains and multiple scratches/scuffs throughout, the handle has also broken off and there is a small crack in the case near one of the retaining bolt/hinges that enable the machine to flip up. There is no original key to the case either but pretty much anything that fits in the lock like a small screwdriver or blade from a small pair of scissors will easily lock/unlock it. Vintage Industrial Singer Fur Furrier Sewing Machine 176-21 NR
I am pleased to offer this very interesting industrial sewing machine that was made by Singer that is a Model176-21 made for the making of furs. THis machine came out of an old garmet fur shop and recently I sold the light so I figure I will blow out the machine. I want to point out that I moved the large pulley on the right and the needle moves back and forth and then back again with ease and the pulley moves with ease as well. I have never sold one of these machines before so please ask questions about any of aspects if you want to know and please know that I have a couple of Bonis Brothers machines I will be listing in the coming weeks. Hello- here we have a Vintage Singer Sewing Machine Treadle. It is in good used condition. There is some paint missing and some discoloration due to age- but- all in all- a nice item. It measure 13.0 inches wide. 10.0 inches in"height" and approx. 1.17 in"depth" There are 3 holes in it- the largest is in photo 3. The other 2 holes(opposing) are 3/8 inches. The bolts for the 2 opposing holes are included. I am parting out this 1897 machine- check out my other listings if you are in need of something from this vintage. Pictures taken with and without a flash Description: These were top of the line machines. Made from the 1930s Though the 1950s. This model was the most sought after model of its day, and has often been described as Singers best. They can easily sew heavier fabrics like Sunbrella, upholstery fabrics, light to mid-weight leather, as well as sheers etc. They were often seen in tailor shops as an alternative to a large industrial machines. They have drop feed dogs for Quilting and darning. 201-2 Specifications: This machine has a heavy cast iron body and a potted direct drive motor. It is a Straight stitch machine with full reverse feed and adjustable ... morestitch length. It takes low-shank attachments with easy screw-on feet that are very readily available. Using a standard 15x1 sewing machine needle. It has a top load bobbin for easy of set-up. The Feed dogs drop for darning& free-motion work. The potted direct drive motor provides slip free power and has no belt to replace. It has a longer arm than most domestic machine of this era giving a great area for large or bulky projects approximately 8 ¼” long by 6” high. This machine has consistent stitching at any speed. It has a reliable singer long life front mounted light. The stitch lengths range is from 6 to 30 stitches per inch and performs flawless. Condition: It has a great shine but does have few blemishes with some initials scratched on the bed surface and a few other nicks. The japanning and finish coat on this machine. Exceptionally clean cosmetically with some minor faceplate discoloration(see pics) and other very minor wear from normal use. This comes in a pretty cabinet if you like. The table does have scrapes and scratches but is in what I would say is nice usable condition. Again see the pics for better detail and bear in mind that this piece is around 40 years old. 1943 Singer SURGICAL STICHING INTRUMENT Industrial Age Medical Suturing Manual
Large manual(11 x 8 1/2 inches) is in good condition with some spots on the cover. Slight curling from storage, and the center page is free from the staples. It also has humidity rust stains around the staples. I was very surprised when I opened this manual, as I didn't expect the illustrations to be as detailed and colorful as they are. This pamphlet goes through the use and care of the device, as well as the different types of sutures used in different applications, and even goes on to show various procedures. A total of 32 pages. SINGER 240W 13 SINGLE NEEDLE CHAINSTITCH Denim INDUSTRIAL SEWING MACHINE
Here is quite a desirable industrial sewing machine. It's a single thread chain stitch machine perfect for difficult sewing jobs like hats, gloves, denim trim, ties, etc. The most impressive thing about this vintage machine is it's size. It's tiny, which makes it ideal for home use. The other machine pictured for size comparison is you standard size home model(that one is a Singer 27- not for sale) It is self oiling with direct drive mechanics- it's operation is simple and straight forward simply thread through the upper tensioning. Thread the needle and go. One of the tensioning pegs appears bent( the one on the far right) however it does not affect thread movement or tensioning. There are signs of age and wear commensurate with it's age and purpose. Though I don't think you'll find a cleaner one. Now this machine ... moreis untested and therefore sold as is( I'm sorry I just don't have a motor) Of course.
