Singer 153 W 102 Single Needle High Speed Industrial Sewing Machine
The Singer 153W102 is a cylinder arm. Straight stitch(no reverse) standard flat foot machine, good for sewing leather and vinyl up to a bit over 1/4" thick, with up to a#22, series 135x16/17 needle and up to#138 nylon thread. They use a standard industrial bobbin, which doesn't hold much#138 thread. These machines do better sewing#69 thread, with a#18 needle. I would classify the 153 as a heavy garment sewing machine(jeans, vests, jackets, chaps) with leather capabilities. It is excellent for sewing garment and chap leather or saddlebags made from Latigo. The cylinder arm is about 3" in diameter by around 9" long. And is cut off right after the bobbin case and cover, just to the left of the outside pressor foot. You can sew real close to the edge of the machine. They shipped with clutch motors, typically between 1/3 and ... more1/2 horsepower, at 1725 rpm. You must learn to feather the clutch to sew at slow speed. It is a handy little cylinder arm machine for small projects that need to be sewn close to the edge. I picked up a the base for a treadle sewing machine it had one side missing and the other side broken. I took the trade mark and cut it out very carefully and ground the rest to produce what is left. I hope you might like to hang it on your wall for decoration. The patent date on the back says 1887. So you get one trade mark insignia from the leg of a treadle sewing machine. Offered is a foot treadle from a Singer treadle sewing machine. The surface has lost most all paint and is now bare metal or rusted over. The overall outermost measurements are 14" x 9 1/2" The main foot rest area measures 12 1/2" x 9 1/2" Pre packing weight is 6 pounds. This is one of several I am listing in the next day. They have been brushed off. But all can benefit from a good scrub, and probably a good coat of paint for rusted surfaces and/ or clear coat to preserve the rusted aged look. None have any breaks or cracks that I could find.

Singer Industrial Sewing Machine Model 31-20 For Leather and Heavy Materials
Hi. You are viewing a Singer Industrial Model 31-20 Sewing Machine. It was designed for heavier materials though it can sew the lighter materials fine. I have customized this machine to accommodate thicker materials by raising the foot up to 1/2 inch lift. See picture 9. The two items pictured that I have sewn with it are belt weight leather that are three pieces thick(about 1/4 inch) and four pieces thick(about 3/8 inch) See picture 10. Thicker material just under 1/2 inch can be sewn with the operator helping the wheel along. I added a new 1.3 amp electric motor(picture 4) and a light(pictures 6 and 8) that includes the foot pedal and extension cord that I lengthened. I do a lot of leather work but I have other sewing machines to use. I have included a complete set of accessories to get you ready to start making money with this machine: ... morespools of size 69 nylon thread in white, brown and black, two bobbin holders, twelve bobbins, a screw driver, scissors, a zipper foot, an adjustable edge foot, an adjustable edge marker, about twelve size 20 wedge tip leather needles, and about 25 size 19 triangle tip leather needles. See pictures 3, 7 and 8. I custom made a functional bobbin winder that easily slips onto the rubber belt for the motor. Finally, I painted this a Mazda burgandy. This is a signed Isaac Singer designed industrial factory chair made circa 1925 for Singer Sewing Machine factories in both UK and USA. They were also sold to the other manufacturers for their factories during the industrial boom. They were sturdy. Mobile, made of heavy cast iron and heavy solid hard-wood seats. The first Singer stools had 3 feet and no backs. Then in the 20's Singer added the spring-loaded back and a fourth foot, for stability, and made it a chair rather than just a stool. The backs are easily removed and/or attached without any notice or change to the chair. Both the stools and chairs easily screw up or down on a heavy threaded center support, that is locked in place by a very large thumb screw(pictures show it in raised and down position) Both the chairs, and the stools, were made to be free standing and not needing ... moreattachment to the floor. They were made to be easily moved, even though they weigh almost 28 lbs each. Singer signed the chairs well, not only on each of the four feet, but also on the left side of each of the 2 iron back support bars where it is signed“Singer” and a model number of“94500" See pictures.
