Singer 15-91 Singer 15-91 Direct Drive Sewing Machine Great working machine. Sews smoothly and quietly. Serial: AL255048 Does have some wear on the clear and the gold design. Motor was stripped of old grease and new grease was packed in, all moving parts lubricated and new insulation added to wiring. Kickout spring changed on bobbin winder, will need new bobbin winder rubber gasket in the near future. Pedal is not original. But contact look good. Included a manual for a 201-2. Which has a very similar setup to these, other then the bobbin setup and light. See pics and feel free to ask questions. Will be packed up using high strength foam and bubble wrap.

The machine itself is in beautiful condition. There are no marks on it at all. All of the paint/finish is intact. The knobs and switches are all solid and move very sturdily. The machine turns freely but has not been used for at least 20 years. I kept it covered and sprayed with WD40. So rust is very minimal. It needs a good cleaning and oiling and it should run like new. Cast iron. Double thread holder. Stands 2 feet high. At the widest, it is 8 1/2" On the bottom of the thread holder, it is stamped 12& stamped USA on top side. The cone base is stamped MADE IN USA. There are three holes in the base so that it could be securely fastened to the table. The thread holder as well as the upper piece can both be adjusted to different heights on the stand. Pairs with an antique Industrial Singer sewing machine. Normal wear. Could use a cleaning. I didn't clean it, so that I would not mess with the integrity of the piece.

Fully serviced and ready for a lifetime of use is this Singer 301A sewing machine. All attachments shown. Case, can of lube, 3 extra needles and of course the pedal come with it. Took it to my Singer repairman as soon as I acquired it and it actually didn't need much more than a few minor adjustments and oiling. This one is an all steel gear machine that runs smoothly and quietly. You can effortlessly sew lightweight or heavyweight materials with this machine. The serial number of NA235309 indicates a date of 1951 according to the online serial number chart. Cosmetically this machine looks as good as it runs although there are 2 areas of tiny little nicks on the back edge of the table and the"S" on the Singer decal in the back has a scuff. This is a beautiful example of Singer craftsmanship. Watch the video! This is a knee pedal machine with the lever. Compared to the machines today these are industrial quality and some use them to sew leather and upholstery. If you can get it under the foot it will sew through it. As you can see this machine is beautifully preserved and well maintained. There is still oil in the hardware and I was told that it had been recently serviced. A sewing professional has assured me that it is a 1928 AC model and very sought after. I have tried to thread the machine but could not find instructions on how to do so. Vintage 1800's Singer Treadle Sewing Machine Legs Cast Iron Steampunk Industrial
Up for auction is a Singer treadle sewing machine leg assembly. It is in very nice condition for it's age which is 129 years. This set does not have any noticeable chips that I could see. I have never seen this before. But on the gold medallion, it shows New York. It is labeled with a patent date of 1887 as photoed. All parts turn freely, 98% of the paint is still there in my opinion. It will be disassembled for shipping to reduce costs. It will be marked for easy assembly. plant in Kilbowie Scotland in 1960. This family of Singer machines is limited by Singer’s use of a non- standard and now almost obsolete needle. The 206x13. I have converted it to use the most common and readily available of all industrial round shank needles. The DBx1/ 16x231/ 16x257/ 1738. Thus solving the needle problem and returning this 306 to its rightful place as a very versatile. Very useable machine. All photos and descriptions are copyright by me. And it’s not too hard to argue that these were the best home sewing machines that Singer ever produced. The 306 is an ... moreindustrial quality sewing machine in all respects. Although it is not as big and heavy as a true industrial machine and cannot sew at the high speed expected of industrial machines. The early 206 was a straight and zig-zag stitcher. About 1954. Singer modified the machine to accept their new flat cams. And called this upgraded machine the 306. Mechanically. It is pretty much the same machine except for the added cam mechanisms. While we take zig-zag for granted today. That was not always the case. Zig-Zag was once state-of-the-art. And Singer lavished a great deal of expertise and manufacturing skill on this one. The early zig-zag machines were really showcase machines. And were very expensive. A zig-zag machine is considerably more difficult to design and manufacture than a straight-stitch machine. Germany was the“center-of-the-universe” for the development of the home zig-zag machine. And for their first home zig-zagger, the 206, Singer turned to the design and manufacturing crews at their plant in Wittenberg. Germany.
