1930s Machine Age Industrial Vintage Factory Metal Locker Set cabinet
I have up for sale a wonderful vintage original circa 1930s DURAND STEEL LOCKER CO Chicago. New York Army Green Factory/Industrial metal locker set. Firstly- this is a great looking locker set and perfect for any industrial decor/ home sports storage/ just practical utility. Its a double door unit- s tanding approx 78" tall. 24" wide, 15" deep frame and weighs approx 115 as you see it. The casters can be removed- as the person that owned this had some metal sleeves made to slip over the legs so as to use casters. Nice Size for fitting into any location- this is a narrow set- only measuring 24" wide and 15" or so deep. Very Nice Original Condition- I did not clean or even wipe it with a cloth- its just as it came from the owner who was an avid collector that passed on recently. This is a double door set. The right ... moreside having shelves- the left just the upper shelf. Durand Steel Locker Co is one of the premier locker manufacturers and this model is the pinnacle of the industrial age metal lockers. The locker is in great shape- some normal minor light wear- original army green finish. I do not have the keys for the locks but this is something easily made by any locksmith. The doors swing smoothly and the handles work as they should. There are no damages nor any repairs- albeit some normal light wear- the right side has some minor scratching or mar marks- nothing significant and something that could be greatly improved with a simple cleaning and oiling. Being very fussy- one of the metal rivets is missing from the Durand escutcheon type piece-shown in my last pic. You are bidding on a industrial Chandler TDU-N62 sewing machine. I plugged it in and it powers up. I stepped on the pedal and it works good. The motor works as it should but the belt doesn't engage? the motor turns but the belt slips. I don't know if the belt needs replaced? or if something else is wrong with it. I am no expert on these machines so i have no idea if it does what its supposed to do but i thought it was pretty amazing that the pedal was so responsive. The harder you stepped down the faster the machine went. Like i said before i just don't know how to fully operate the sewing machine. SEWING MACHINE NEEDLES 10-12.000+ A local Tucson estate batch of sewing machine needles. We believe most to be"industrial" needles and most are in unopened packs. That being said some may not be industrial and be in"opened" packs. That's how that works. Some/ many of the boxes are a bit dusty. We can't say a few packs may have aging/ oxidation to the needles but we opened 25-30 boxes at random and they all looked new inside. A large offering of Schmetz(more than you can see in the pictures) That suitcase is 10 inches thick. A lot of Union- Torrington- Singer- Beka and the list goes on and on. There's easily 150 to 200 packs in there many to most with 90 to 100 needles. Simple math puts that at 9.000 on the low side and perhaps as many as 14-15,000 needles. Wow! It lists several U.S. Patents dated in the late 1800’s and has the inscription“Prevetee en France S6D6” on the embossed plate. However. Based on the motor knee lever it appears to be made by the S M Co. in New York on April 26, 1906. The motor is a Dayton Split Phase A. C. Motor. Model#S60DPB-4617. As far as we know. It is in good working order but has not been used in about 4 years. It is attached to a wood base table top with metal sides and foot pedal with a large spool holder to the right of the sewing machine. This is a local pick-up only item located in Florissant. MO. Here we have a great Ashcroft gauge that has a cool cast iron bulbus pipe connected to it. As you can see from the photos there is some black paint on it but it should be able to be cleaned off if desired. IT HAS TWO NEW BULBS IN IT AND THEY WILL BE SENT WITH THE LAMP. THEY COST ABOUT $13.00. THE MASSIVE BASE IS 8 3/4" WIDE AND DEEP AND EACH OF THE ARMS IS ABOUT 18" LONG. THE SHADE IS 18" BY 4" THE CORDING LOOKS TO HAVE BEEN REPLACED AT SOME TIME AS THERE IS A THREE PRONG PLUG AT THE END. EVERYTHING WORKS AND IT IS AS SOLID AS AN OLD LAMP CAN BE. SOME CHIPPING OF THE BROWN PAINT BUT NOTHING UNEXPECTED FROM AN ANTIQUE TASK LAMP. MOST LIKELY A DRAFTSMAN'S LAMP OR SOME OTHER CRAFT THAT REQUIRED GOOD LIGHTING. Antique Industrial Machine Age Vintage Cast Iron Metal Table Old Scovill Riveter
Selling a very rare. Unique and absolutely cool, Industrial machine age cast iron and steel table that was originally a riveting tool manufactured by the Scovill Co. Waterbury Ct. The table stands approx 34.5 inches tall.tray top measures approx 17.5 X 12 and 3/4 deep.eye hook in center is approx 33 inches tall. the cast iron legs are very unusual in that they are angled from front to back. Stepped on top, and tapered from top to bottom(see photos) The rivet tool can as well as the eye hook can all be removed depending on your specific needs. As you can see in the photos, the table top has 2 corner molded cups(one in each front corner) and a cut-out section where the eye hook that operates the rivet tool connects to the tool. the entire table top could also be removed and the legs would be independent, and could be used for another purpose.your ... morechoice. The unit weighs approx 160 pounds. A very unusual machine age table that would compliment any collection of similar decor.
