This is a highly desirable heavy duty Sears Kenmore Sewing Machine model 148.1560. Free Arm with the extension to make a flat sewing surface. See pics. It does sew. But it will need some repair. I did oil it underneath. 2. Stitch length knob has come off. THERE IS A FIX AVAILABLE FOR IT. The gray"stuff" on the back of the knob is removed by small screws. It is a new part you would have to purchase for about $24.95. 3. The top stitch width knob in the center is supposed to have a red sticker ... morein the center. I played with it trying to get the machine to do all the stitches. I could get it to do the black stitches on the Top of the Machine knob. But didn't get it to do the red stitches. I didn't read the manual or tinker with it so I am not sure if it is broken or operator error. Be aware this could need attention. This Kenmore sewing machine has the dual belt system with the 1.0 amp motor. The dual belt system increases the torque. It has the low shank feet. Which are easy to find. It comes with a copy of the manual(or I can provide the link for the manual for the winner of the auction) Straight stitch foot enclosed. Before I knew there was a problem. I removed the bottom of the machine and oiled it all with a high quality sewing machine oil. I also removed all the old grease under the bobbin area in the gear that is in a box. Replaced it with high quality Tri-Flow Grease which is the best for the gears. I use it on my personal machine as well. Very clean under neath. See photo. Estate find vintage 1955-56 Pfaff 130 heavy duty zigzig sewing machine with the 50010 embroidery attachment and dial a stitch. This has been tested and is in working condition. By tested I mean I plugged it in and pushed the foot control and it started working. I did not thread the machine because there is no bobbin holder and it needs a needle. I engaged the attachment on all 6 settings and it seemed to work just fine. The motor seems very strong and quick. There is some wear on the gold design that you can see in the pictures.
