Even though I don't really know what I'm doing I threaded it and sewed 2 layers of suede leather as shown. The stitches are nice and tight! As with all vintage machines it may need some adjustment but I was able to get it to sew right off the bat. This machine comes with the foot pedal. As shown. Tested and working well but please note there are a couple issues. The plastic socket that the lightbulb would screw into has cracked and so will need to be replaced if you would like the light to work. Also the plastic base plate the machine sits on has warped a bit over time and does not fit tight, this can be seen in the photos and in no way affects the functionality of the machine. I can't find any other issues except for the fact the machine has yellowed a bit from age in a few places, this can also be seen in the photos. Up for auction is a Vintage Canadian Singer 15-91 Sewing Machine with extras! This is the first Canadian machine that I have owned. I am not saying they are super rare. But there are definitely not as many of these around. This listing is for the machine, foot pedal and power cord, Singer Buttonholer with case and instruction manual, Box of Singer attachments including extra feet, ruffler attachment, 10 total bobbins and Singer owners manual. There is no machine case included in the listing. The machine(serial number JC752610) was built in the St. Johns. Newfoundland, Canada factory. I used the machine to hem some jeans and the motor powered right through the denim. The direct drive motor with steel gears makes the 15-91 one of Singers most popular machines. It doesn't have a belt, so you don't have to worry about belt slipping or ... morereplacement. It will sew denim, leather, polyester and more! It seems that everything on the machine works as it should including the on-board work light. I installed a brand new power cord/pedal cord and oiled the machine. The machine doesn't come with hinges to mount the machine in a table, but they are readily available. Appearance of the machine: The black paint is shiny and looks good in the pictures. But it does have some normal/scratches/blemishes in the paint that may not show up well in my pictures. The gold decals are in great condition. I believe the machines appearance is spectacular for a 66 year old machine. Although not perfect, I would rate it as a strong 8 out of 10. The bobbin case all inspected. Also, I take off the faceplate, the gear cases, the hand-wheel, slide plate, bottom plate and the back access plate to clean the old oil and grease build up. I clean out the packed-in lint and dust, remove the thread-jams, inspect the hook and the needle plate, installed new belt and bulb.
