Up for auction is a Vintage Canadian Singer 15-91 Sewing Machine with extras! This is the first Canadian machine that I have owned. I am not saying they are super rare. But there are definitely not as many of these around. This listing is for the machine, foot pedal and power cord, Singer Buttonholer with case and instruction manual, Box of Singer attachments including extra feet, ruffler attachment, 10 total bobbins and Singer owners manual. There is no machine case included in the listing. The machine(serial number JC752610) was built in the St. Johns. Newfoundland, Canada factory. I used the machine to hem some jeans and the motor powered right through the denim. The direct drive motor with steel gears makes the 15-91 one of Singers most popular machines. It doesn't have a belt, so you don't have to worry about belt slipping or ... morereplacement. It will sew denim, leather, polyester and more! It seems that everything on the machine works as it should including the on-board work light. I installed a brand new power cord/pedal cord and oiled the machine. The machine doesn't come with hinges to mount the machine in a table, but they are readily available. Appearance of the machine: The black paint is shiny and looks good in the pictures. But it does have some normal/scratches/blemishes in the paint that may not show up well in my pictures. The gold decals are in great condition. I believe the machines appearance is spectacular for a 66 year old machine. Although not perfect, I would rate it as a strong 8 out of 10. 1950 Heavy Duty Singer 15-91 Sewing Machine Direct Drive Motor Leather, Denim
Up for auction is a Vintage Singer 15-91 Sewing Machine. This listing is for the machine. Foot pedal and power cord only. There is no case included in the listing. The machine(serial number AL090349) was built in the Eizabethport factory in Elizabeth. New Jersey in September of 1952. I haven't sewn a project with it, but I did sew a couple of stitches on a few layers layers of black denim(please see pics) and they looked great. I adjusted the stitch speed to make some small stitches and larger ones. The motor powered right through the denim. The direct drive motor with steel gears makes the 15-91 one of Singers most popular machines. It doesn't have a belt, so you don't have to worry about belt slipping or replacement. It will sew denim, leather, polyester and more! It seems that everything on the machine works as it should including ... morethe on-board work light. I don't consider myself an expert, but I oiled the machine and checked it out to the best of my knowledge. Appearance of the machine: The black paint is shiny and looks good in the pictures. But it does have some spots/scratches/blemishes in the paint that may not show up well in my pictures. The gold decals are in great condition. I believe the machines appearance is spectacular for a 62 year old machine. But not perfect. I would rate it as a 8 out of 10. I use shipping through the USPS or UPS depending on buyer location and cost. I have sold several other sewing machines on Ebay. Union Special 43200 F Z Edge Lock Black Head Denim Chainstitch Sewing Machine
Up for consideration is a very rare example of the 4300F Union Special heavy duty Edge Lock machine. This machine was made for hemming the back pockets of workwear. This is arguably the rarest of the 43200 machines. This is an un-restored first generation machine. This machine has not been repainted black to look old like most"cloned" examples of the 43200 machine. You can see from the photos this is old school enamel paint and not modern paint, also the cloned machines oftentimes have orange primer on the interior of the casting, the interior of this machine is black on the casting. Also if you look at the thread eyelets you will see they are ceramic and not metal like the second and third generation machines. This is a really rare machine. This machine has been in my possession for approximately 4 years. This machine came from ... morea small shop in NY and has not been overseas in a sweatshop like most 43200 machines offered for sale. If you look at the build plate you will see this is a 43200 FZ the"Z" denotes a custom machine so this is the rarest of any model F to be had. This machine comes with a custom made edge guide for hemming back pockets. This machine also features a custom made African Padauk table that has been Spar Varnished and is assembled with biscuit joints and brass hardware. This machine is powered by a 110V servo motor. This machine has a custom made steel mounting plate with large rubbers. This machine has had all of the wool wicks replaced in the oil reservoir. This is the perfect addition to your growing vintage work wear company as it will add a real authentic vintage touch to your jeans. Not many people have an F in their production facility so it will be a selling point to you jeans especially if you already have a 43200 G. It is truly a mighty mite- you'll notice the six inch ruler in the picture. It is easily half the size of a regular home model sewing machine. It's convenient size makes it easier to mount and move. A Chain-Stitch(pictured) and to do it well! It's simplicity is it's strong point. Fewer moving parts. They are unique as they use only one top thread- no bottom bobbin.
