Came across this pillow cover in a box of old hand crocheted doilies. Amazing work. Adorable blue eyed Dutch girl with a wheel barrel full of flowers. Detail is just amazing. Pillow Cover measures. 20" x 16" Top left corner has been left open to insert stuffing and hand stitch closed once full. I'm not sure that photos do this piece justice. Even the material shows just how old this is. I am guessing it is a Linen/Cotton. Can actually see the variation in size of the thread in the material. I am guessing this was made by my Mom's mom or grandmother. Mom would be 93 if she was still here. So I am guessing this is well over 100 years old, but maybe not. Almost feels like it should be in a local museum its so beautiful. This would be Awesome framed ad hung on the wall.

A cross stitch Pug checkbook cover and accessory case in fabric and satin material. The checkbook cover is 7" long and 3.5" wide. It has a lovely cross stitch of a fawn Pug in a garden area. The background color is beige and the flowers are green and red with an old fashioned water pump in brown. The inside of the case has multiple pockets for credit cards or the like as well as the checks. The inside material is a beige satin. The accessory case can also hold makeup and is 7" long by 4 5" tall. It has a seated Pug on the front in cross stitch. The back is a velvet material and the case is fabric lined and has a zipper closure. This is a very nice set.

Vintage FINISHED Cross Stitch Full Size Duvet Cover + 2 Standard Shams UNUSED
Fresh from a Boston area estate sale. This is a rare find! Offered is a vintage full size bed duvet cover with two matching standard shams. I was told this was cross stitched by the owner's grandmother decades ago; unsure if grandma used her sewing machine or did by hand because neither the owner or I know much about cross stitching! The cover and shams didn't suit the owner's style so she placed them in her hope chest where they have remained unused ever since. The fabric looks like"homespun" slightly coarse) so I don't know if it's linen. Cotton, or a blend since there are no labels. It is an interesting fabric- white"lines" in the fabric are contrasted against the natural beige, giving them a 3D look. The flowers are cross stitched in red. Burgundy, pink, yellow and two shades of green which are ... morebordered by burgundy and yellow zig zag stitched designs. Rickrack trim that is machine sewn in place is white, red, pink and green. The duvet cover has a button closure; the two shams have no closure and are open-ended. When you turn them inside-out, you can see the interfacing that is in back of the designs which was stitched in place to keep the stitches from stretching I guess.
