Up for bid is a brass strapping or banding tool. I know nothing about this tool. It belonged to my grandfather and was in his work shop forever. It seems to work when you lift the handle and bring it down. It clicks and the wheel turns. The tool is mostly brass(tested with magnet) except for the screws, wheel and lever. Tension and welding time adjustments are able to be easily changed Has a Bosch 14 volt Battery Charger and it looks like a fairly new aftermarket battery. I am a mechanic by trade but did not know this machine. Fifteen minutes with it now and I am about a Pro. I understand this is an older machine but being a mechanic the older machines are usually simpler and more reliable than the newer ones! You pull up on the long finger grip lever to feed the strapping into the machine. You adjust the weld time with the yellow timer button up or down 1 thru 7 You adjust the tension with the green go arrow up or down.1 thru 7 The red button is the battery button.time ... moreleft etc.I presume) The red thumb button activates the strapping tensioner. Then the black thumb lever activates the welder and cutter. I welded a couple straps and the welder welds fine. You can see in the pictures that the cutter works also. all of the pictures are of this machine.I have never held another one! The tensioner works fine too I do not know what the strapping width is set at so that will have to be figured out by the new owner. Since I do not know how to cycle this machine through all of it's functions and knowing that it probably is fine Lets call it in as is condition. For Auction is a B2A0 Banding tool stamped C1204C. Other tools with this stamping were built by Acme Interlake. But it doesn't have a brand/country of origin stamped into it. The C1204C stamp is in the cast iron, while the B2A0 looks like it was placed with a punch. It appears to be a vintage quality tool. It seems to be in working condition, with all gear teeth in good condition. I don't have any banding material to test it with, but it looks like it could go to work as is. The mechanism has the precision of a revolver. I am willing to accept returns with no questions asked if this tool doesn't meet your expectations.

Vintage Steel Cast Iron Banding Strapping Packaging Tool Machine Bander Strapper
Listed for your consideration is a vintage cast iron or steel banding tool or strapping machine. There are no markings of any kind to indicate manufacturer or country of origin. It is very well made and operates smoothly. It most closely resembles an YBICO machine. The knurled wheel is 1/2" wide and it looks like it could pull material up to 3/4" based on the width of the opening. It has a bronze bushing with a thumb ratchet release. The overall length is right at 14" with handle down. The base is 8 1/2" long and 3 7/16" at its widest point. This appears to be a high quality piece that shows very little wear should last you a long time. I do my best to ensure the descriptions of the items I'm selling are accurate. B2A0 Bander banding tool vintage strapping C1204C Acme?
This is a quality tool that is in excellent working condition. I don't have the banding material to test it. But the gears click through with precision and little wear is evident. It is stamped with OIL and the serial number 13863 on one side, and has C1204C stamped into the cast iron on the other side. The remains of a sticker on the side has B2 visible, as well as an M I think could have been from an ACME label. From other pictures I suspect it may be an Acme tool, but there is no stamping stating this on the tool. It appears to be old and quality built. I came across it with another tool stamped B2A0, and they have identical construction and design, but I don't know anything about it's history. I would be happy to accept a return if it does not meet your expectations.

Nice lightly used set of Signode brand strapping tools. Includes Model LT Tensioner for use with 1/2" 3/4" strapping. And Model C-1223 Manual Crimper for use with 1/2" seals. We bought these new from Grainger several years ago and only used them on average 3-5 times a year. The parts numbers from Grainger are Tensioner 5A429, and Crimper 5A421. This same crimper is still available new for $311.00. The Tensioner is currently not available from Grainger.
