Here is some nice vintage Brainard Steel Strapping tools. Two of the pieces say brainard and the 3rd piece without the red handles I am unsure if it is part of these tools. I think it is part of these strapping Tools but I'm unsure. If you can tell me what the 3rd piece is and if it goes with these other two pieces that would be great. I am willing to split these tools into individual pieces if you only need a certain piece please message me and I will be happy to list the piece you need by itself. Up for your consideration is a used. But very good working banding tensioner. I recently cleaned and lube it up and it works great. There is nothing wrong with it. It is a very well built tool. I am unsure if it is made for steel or plastic, but I would assume based on its age, it is for steel. That is what I had used it for. I have since switched to a plastic banding kit, and it worked fine on that too. I don't know what the difference is between them. Anyway, shipping will be at actual cost. Shipping weight is 5 pounds. Could have easily crushed the plywood. Overall length: 19 1/2" I havn't had a chance to get a price from Acme. It looks like the current model would be DTW 208. I also looked in the MSC book to get some information. There item#01700970 looks similar, the on line price is $642.75 for there made in USA item. I would say condition is good to almost very good. The Braindard tool has a ratcheting wheel which locks/unlocks fine. Which I assume means its working. I have no idea how the Fast-Lok tool operates so I am not sure what to look for. Up for auction is one used Signode Manual Plastic Strapping Tensioner. It is heavy duty and weighs app. 3.5 lbs. It is used for 1/2' 3/4' Polyester and Polypropylene plastic banding. Not intended for metal. It is used but is perfect working condition. The only thing that I can see wrong with it is the nylon washer is broke where the handle come down but it still works fine.
