There is a band tightening mechanism designed to crank one way and lock tightly against going the opposite direction. The teeth on this revolving part are all still well-defined, and there is a satisfying click, click, click as the larger arm is cranked. The smaller arm operates a cutting mechanism that opens, shuts and looks to have no play that would cause it to not cut well. Of several springs. There are two tiny ones that function well enough right now but ought probably to be replaced sometime soon. They appear to be unremarkable and thus easy enough to find. They also look easy to get to and put into position. I see that shiny versions of these can be quite spendy. Since this is hardly ... morein that condition. I am starting the bidding nice and low. I like to ship in sections of heavy cardboard tubing. And should you choose to return this to me I think you'll find it gratifyingly easy packaging material to work with.
