The sticker label on the bottom shows a(5252 rev. date) COULD mean May 2.1952. HEAVY DUTY looking 19 foot cord. I plugged it in. It came on when i flipped the switch. I am able to turn the blade by hand, so I'm ... morenot sure if the problem is with the motor or maybe the gears. It has cosmetic marks, grime, oxidation, etc. from age and previous use. One screw and knob part has been replaced with a contemporary nut and bolt. The slicer comes with what looks like either the original or a replacement(see picture) Also, the blade guard has a repair on it as shown. The slicer is being sold as-is, for parts or repair. Please see the pictures for more details. My research indicates the dataplate for this slicer was originally where the power switch is. This slicer has had its switch replaced some time ago. And the dataplate is now lost. I looked around online and I think it's a model 150, but I'm not sure about that. It may have had a higher number, up to Model 285. But the examples I saw online that are Model 150 all look very much like this slicer, more than the other models I found. Again, I'm not totally sure. I found sources for parts online. And you'll spend a lot to get most of them, so this slicer is a goldmine of value if you're trying to restore or repair one and need various parts. Again. This listing is for a Vintage Oster Deli Cut Meat and Cheese Slicer. Model 347-48A. It has been completely tested and it works Great! It has printed on it that it was Made for Paul Masson. There is a dial on the back that can be turned to change the thickness of cut. There are 4 different thickness settings and a fifth setting for when the slicer is not in use. Lastly. There is a release setting for removing the blade for cleaning. It has a food guide that you would place the item to be sliced atop of and you would then manually move that guide so the item is pushed into the slicing wheel. Just move it left and right and slice the item for as much as you want to slice up. The sliding guide slides back and forth freely with no interference and the blade is very sharp. This is a used but in good working order Globe model 500 slicer with sharpener. The blade has a few small nicks but still slices well. The tines on the paddle have been wire off. FOR PARTS OR REPAIR- Globe Slicer 500 It powers up and runs but the Knife Plate Hub Assembly bearings are frozen. I did not have the proper tools to do the job so I am selling this unit for parts or repair. It has lot's of good parts on it and the motor spins when it isn't contacting the knife shaft assembly so I am pretty sure it is good but absolutely no guarantees or refunds.
