This item is a used Berkel Model 827 Deli Slicer with a 12" Blade– Gravity Feed. This is a Heavy Commercial Grade Slicer made in Italy and weighs 60 pounds. This is in good used and working condition with wear and scratches from use. This works very well and I was able to slice meat right down to wafer thin. The blade could probably use a professional sharpening as I don’t know when it was done last. But I did use the self-sharpener and it is slicing nicely. I has a new start/ stop switch and 2 new stones on the built in sharpener. Berkel still makes this model which sells for around $1300 new. The blade has a nick in it(see picture 11) I sliced an orange through it to test it out and it chopped that up without effort. I removed the bottom inspection plate to make sure I wasn't selling a gunked up unit and it is shockingly clean(see picture 7) The Goodyear belt and motor look almost new. We were able to move the meat holder without any issues. We did not test this item with any meat but we see no reson this item would not function properly.
