Antique American Slicing Machine Co Meat Slicer Works Heavy Duty
This listing is for a very nice. Working antique meat slicer. Was recently purchased from a local rancher who was using it up to the point he sold it. I believe this is a 1920s or so machine. Still has a lot of the original red paint. The white enamel tray that the meat falls into is removeable. It has adjustments from paper thin to 1/2" It has a built in blade sharpener that works very well. When running its is very quiet with no unusual sounds. The motor is 1/4 hp and the blade spins at 1725 rpms. Very nice, useable slicer. Perfect for hunters or home butchers. Its measurements are 26" long x 16" high x 22" wide. Almost all Original Parts(see below) Has never been refurbished. Still works great. Has been used within the last year. Some of the moving parts may require lubricating between uses. This slicer is equipped with a Hobart Stay Sharp Stainless Steel Knife(photo#13) Sharpening instructions are included. Slicer is in very nice used vintage condition. There is a bit of oxidation on the metal in some areas. The under carriage(see photo) has some oil build up from over the years. Could use a good cleaning. Degreasing and re-oiling. There is not a lot of information out there on this slicer. It was manufactured in 1938 or'39. They are hard to find. However there are still websites ... morethat sell old Hobart slicer parts. Includes copy of catalog of replacement parts with instructions for care& operation. Also copies of a portion of the manual. This is a vintage commercial grade food slicer. I cannot read the model number on its tag. It is VERY HEAVY DUTY. They just don’t make them like this anymore. It was purchased from a man who“had a lot of parties” Not ever used in a commercial setting. Very nice– very new looking considering its age. Heavy and requires extra insurance. Sold used– AS IS.
