The 45° table on the Berkel 827A slicer makes product feed easier, creating more consistent and uniform slices with less waste with slices as thick is 9/16" thick. Now.obviously. This is not a new, $1600 unit. I've been using it for about two years and just bought a new one. Mostly I've been slicing dry cured ... moremeats: coppa, salami, etc. It worked fine for me. Yet, there are limitations: 1) When you turn the unit"on. you have to probe the blade a little bid with a hand. It starts turning and cuts well afterwards. It could be a simple issue of adjusting the belt, but I simply did not want to bother with it since it worked good anyway. 2) The cover on the sharpening unit is gone. This is a cosmetic issue. Since it does not effect its functionality. For specifications(VOLTZ. HZ, PH and the rest) see one of the pictures above. After checking what others ask for the shipping. I'm going to put $60, but will charge actual shipping plus box\supplies. If it will cost me less than $60, I'll issue refund. Obviously, local pick up will work as well. For the same reason, I'll not ship outside of the lower 48. It is sold"as is" and with no return: simply because I do not want to mess with it and putting it again on E-Bay. My 100% feedback should speak for my integrity. Once more. This is not the unit you can display in your window, but fully functioning and has plenty of life in it.
