DIODE 175 AMP 100 PRV MOUNTED TO HEATSINK Need a big. High current diode for a project? This one has no brand/1N#s so I was unable to search for specs. The number 175 A is stamped on the copper part. So it is likely rated at 175 Amps. Probably 100 Volts PRV. The anode is connected to the heatsink. Cathode is the copper lug. This curve was taken at about 2 kHz. So it shows the junction capacitance as the loop on the right. I guessing it is about 1000 pf. Vertical scale is current. 500 uA/div. Horiz o ntal scale is 2 V/div. This curve is Vertical 100 uA/div. Horizontal is 500 mV/ d iv. Looks like the forward voltage drop is pretty low. I t will be more with higher currents. I'm not sure if this is a rectifier. Diode or what. I pulled it from a 6-12V 60amp battery charger with a 250a boost. The charger had to convert AC to DC and this is the only part inside that could do it so I'm assuming it's a bridge rectifier. I included a picture of the transformer and the charger for reference only. They aren't included. It was a working charger before I tore it apart to harvest the timer.
