Auction is for a large lot of vintage germanium diodes as shown in picture I have used these to make several fuzz boxes and such for myself and friends and all I have used so far have worked very well some of these are NOS and some are used Many are the old school color coded style some of the ends have to be cleaned with steel wool prior to soldering to get a good solder I normally hold the wire with needle nose pliers before bending as they are old These have a nice softer clip than the silicon ones and a truer vintage sound in my opinion Condition unknown and sold for parts or repair Will ship in a small flat fate box for $5.80 No international sales Payment by Paypal sold as-is no returns

Up for sale is a dozen LN4007 diode commonly found in Bally Bingo Pinball Machines. I have had to replace these on occasion and they cost like 3.69 for a pack of two down at radio shack. I ordered a dozen of them so I could have some extras. They sent me 1200 of them: Apparently 100 diodes makes a pack of one for them people. You order twelve off them.you'll have extras alright. I'll never use them all so I thought I'd try to sell some off. These are new. I'll put 12(12 not 1200) of them in a standard envelop and mail them to you.

several thousand HIGH SPEED AXIAL DIODES ON TAPE
Paper tape has some frays and bad spots. Guestimating a few thousand unmarked small signal diodes. Oscilloscope(NOT INCLUDED IN AUCTION) shows diode in series with 1kohm resistor and 10V 2MHz triangle wave. Settings: 1V/division, 100nsec/division. Diode conducts at just over 0.5V and switching time is faster than I can measure. Let me know if you can think of other tests I might do to characterize these new, surplus diodes.

I wonder if this was one of the first, what they call a"boom box' It does have some of the characteristics of one, who know. If you enlarge the pictures you will see how creative the were with the back panel, for storage. The model is the Bigston BR-600 by Kyokuyo Electric co.Ltd. Japan. Listing!924 tube radio 115v ac input battery trickle charger utilizing two"dry metal" diodes. This was the first power supply of its kind. It was used to allow people in homes with"electricity" to use wall outlet voltage to"trickle" charge(a better term would be float charge) a wet battery in a tube radio. It consists of a mains transformer then going to, these were connected by the owner after purchase, the anode and the cathode of a set of dry metal diodes. The battery in the radio appears to be utilized as a capacitor for the DC power supply. The manufacturer went bankrupt in 1930 so these were made for a pretty limited amount of time, I have not been able to find one anywhere not even a photo. So I am fairly sure it is uncommon. It includes the set of instructions and catalog that it came with. These diode lasers were only slight used in an experiment for pumping our fiber lasers. There are two units available. Both lasers yield an output power of 70W@33A. The spectral width is 3.1nm@976nm. NA is 0.22 having a beam diameter of 400 microns. The threshold current is about 8A at an operating voltage of 5.2V. The diodes must be water-cooled at ~15C. The fixed price for each unit is only 30% of our original purchased price.
