This thyristor is either new or only very slightly used but is in very nice overall condition. This was tested by connecting it to a circuit made by our tech involving a DC power supply and a motor. Then a small power supply for the gate circuit. The motor without a load on it would run as long as the gate was energized. As soon as the gate power was turned off the motor would turn off. When the shaft of the motor was given some resistance(so it would draw more current) then the gate was energized, we were able to de-energize the gate and the motor would stay running as long as the motor was still drawing more current. Hello there. I've been waiting to finally start listing on E-bay. And when I got these I figured I might as well start. I don't have a use for these, and they were taken out of a working environment so I know they can bring some fellow experimenter some joy. There are: 3: GE C155D- 600V 110A SCR. Pretty heavy duty! 2: GE 1N3292- Same thing at 100A. 1: IR 37RA50- 500V 80A SCR. All of these. Looking at the data sheets, can take upwards of 1000 Amps current and over 1000 volts in a spike. They would be awesome for Tesla coil experimenting, or something to do with a Ham Radio linear amplifier or antenna switch. There are also 2 large aluminum heatsinks which everything is attached to. A DALE 10W 50 Ohm resistor. And a GE 1uf 200v capacitor are also attached. This is my first sale. And even more importantly I like to see people get to ... morehave fun experimenting: Looking on Ebay, it seems average price for these SCRs is around 10-25$ each.
