The Bulova 250 Series is a much harder to find set than its Regency look-alike. Their plastic cases are virtually identical with the exception of the front logos and the elimination of the earphone jack on the Bulova case. According to Eric Wrobbel’s booklet. The Regency TR-1 Family, the Bulova 250 Series was introduced in mid-June of 1955, about 7 months following the Regency TR-1. The case could use a good cleaning and could be polished too. This BN-16B was stored in a locker at the Village Limelight along with a RCA BK-6B lavaliere type dynamic microphone, headset, Western Electric private line intercom, and assorted connecting cables. The graphics on the front and sides are in mint condition. There are some very very minor scratches and some rub marks on the sides and the back that are hard to see, but not bad at all. It comes with it's original box. The antenna is a 26 inches long and is in good condition. Station dial and volume dial windows are clear with numbers clean. It still has it's FCC sticker on the bottom. The bottle caps of the bottles say Coke, Fresca, Fanta, Sprite and Tab. I learned that this radio likely dates to 1957 production by the Canadian Marconi Co. Ltd. in Montreal, Quebec under a licensing agreement with Emerson Export Company of New York. It is very similar to the Emerson model 888 radio of the same era. It is Super-Heterodyne. MW band and uses four 1.5 volt AA batteries. The battery housing tubes and terminals are in good shape– no corrosion on the contact areas. When I put batteries into it. The radio created static when the volume knob was turned but would not bring in an AM station clearly. What I could see of the inside components looked to be in good shape– no obvious cracks or swollen ... moreparts that I noticed. The robin's egg blue plastic housing has a little discoloration from age and has lost much of the gold trim around the fancy speaker cover. No cracks. Nicks, burns or scratches. The two halves fit together quite nicely and hold tight with the original two screws in the back. Metal stand works fine. The strap is leather and in good shape. The case is a type of leatherette material: top shows a previous owner’s name in pencil and has been sewn back on after breaking at the fold seam. See pics. Knobs turn easily. It looks like there was once a small decal in the lower right corner of the speaker cover– it is gone now. This is quite a rare radio that will be a fine addition to a collection! Vintage PHILCO SAFARI 1st Transistor Portable TV 1959 Mid Century Television
Here is a Neat Vintage 1959 PHILCO SAFARI Television. They were the first Transistorized TVs. And are black and white. They came in black or brown leather cabinets. They were considered"personal" sets, as they had to be viewed from directly in front. They are projection sets, whereby the small 2" picture tube reflects on to a mirror, and the mirror reflection is what you see. They have fold up lids and are portable. The antennas pull out. This set looks to have all its knows etc. I think they were also battery in their day. I have had several of these old sets, and most worked, as this one does. It will need an anatlog converter if you want to view shows. If you have never owned one of these sets, they are pretty neat. S/H in USA lower 48 is $22.50 with Fedex.

Country Road Antiques is pleased to offer another quality collectible: 1970's Pepsi-Cola Transistor Radio. This is made to look like a Pepsi vending machine. Cosmetically it is in good condition. But it is contrary. Sometimes it works and other times it doesn't. It does have an antenna on top of it. It works off 2 AA batteries, which will be included. Up for sale is a Vintage ISIS Model# 1845 Coca Cola/ Coke Transistor Radio. It is used but is in good condition. It does have some white stuff on the metal side as seen in the picture. Might be able to get it off but it in no way affects the function of the radio. Has a few scuffs but nothing major at all. I have tested the radio and it does WORK. It is 12" Long and 5 1/2" tall with the handle up. These are rare radios. You don't find many of them at all. Here is your chance to own this great Coca Cola Collectible.
