Sunpack 322S Auto Thyristor Flash in excellent condition
This is for a used Sunpack 322S flash only. The camera and slave are only in the pictures to show features. This flash is in excellent condition and works perfectly. The flash can be used in two different auto modes or in manual mode where you can control the power of the flash. You can see in the pictures where I installed velcro on the sides and top. The velcro on the sides allowed me to attach a diffuser across he lens when I wanted a softer effect. The velcro on top was used to hold the slave(see image with slave) This allowed me to have one flash attached to and controled by the camera and then have two other flashes go off simultaneously by looking at the flash on the camera. This allowed me to have a fill flash and a highlight flash too without any wires. Reliance Thyristor/SCR 86466-60T (Rectifier)
This thyristor is either new or only very slightly used but is in very nice overall condition. This was tested by connecting it to a circuit made by our tech involving a DC power supply and a motor. Then a small power supply for the gate circuit. The motor without a load on it would run as long as the gate was energized. As soon as the gate power was turned off the motor would turn off. When the shaft of the motor was given some resistance(so it would draw more current) then the gate was energized, we were able to de-energize the gate and the motor would stay running as long as the motor was still drawing more current. As soon as the shaft of the motor was set free there was no extra resistance on it, the circuit would be interrupted and the motor stopped spinning. I do not have any other extras to inclu de. Synchronization cord, and battery insert(required to use 6 AA batteries to power flash) This flash is very powerful and versatile. Simply outstanding for lighting large groups or for flash fill outdoors. The flash head rotates with click stops upward and sideways for precise aiming of the flash and for bounce lighting. It has both auto and manual power settings so you can precisely set the intensity of flash as you desire. It also accepts an AC power cord(not included) This unit is mechanically in fully working order. I tested it with 6 AA batteries and it fired consistently at all power settings. All movement of the flash head works as as it should. Cosmetically there are considerable scuffs and wear on the body of the unit. I have tried to provide as detailed ... morepictures as possible illustrating this. However the back panel of the flash(where the controls are) is in nearly perfect condition. There is some writing on the interior battery compartment. But it is squeaky clean with no corrosion whatsoever. Reliance Thyristor/SCR 86466-91V
This thyristor is used but is in nice overall condition. This was tested by connecting it to a circuit made by our tech involving a DC power supply and a motor. Then a small power supply for the gate circuit. The motor without a load on it would run as long as the gate was energized. As soon as the gate power was turned off the motor would turn off. When the shaft of the motor was given some resistance(so it would draw more current) then the gate was energized, we were able to de-energize the gate and the motor would stay running as long as the motor was still drawing more current. As soon as the shaft of the motor was set free there was no extra resistance on it, the circuit would be interrupted and the motor stopped spinning. I will include the small plastic bag with scre ws.
