I have a SLR Camera Flash Bundle That includes a Vivitar Auto Thyristor 3700. A Vivitar Auto Thyristor 2800, 2 Vivitar DSC-1 Cables, a Vivitar PG/2 Flash Bar and Shutter release Cable. The 2800 powered up with batteries, the 3700 worked before it was stored but I do not have the AA battery pack for it or the NC batteries for it so I'm not sure if it is in working condition or not, both DSC cables are in good condition and the flash bar is in good condition, the shutter release was missing but I have thrown one in with it. The flash has a(removable) sensor which through the measurement of reflected light programs the flash to deliver the correct amount of light for a correct exposure. The f-stop is effectively pre-set by adjusting the mode selector to one of 4 f-stops(although'manual' can also be selected) The sensor/mode selector can be removed for mounting off-camera(eg on a flash bracket) but this does require a sep arate connector sensor holder and cab le to connect back to the flash unit- this is NOT supplied with this flash. T he flash also has a push-button to illuminate the calculator dial. A flash ready and testing lamp/switch. Plus an indicator light which operates in green for 2 seconds after ... morethe flash fires to conf irm that the flash fired with sufficient light to ensure correct exposure. The flash will primarily be used for hot-shoe operation. Although an unopened shu tter cord is also supplied for connection to a PC socket.
