But it had a more expensive bigger brother, the 285HV, and the National PE-5057 is an upmarket Japanese clone. Both have been used on film AND digital cameras successfully. Sony/Minolta cameras are the only problem as they have proprietary hotshoes. Although adapters are available. Finding the correct shutter speed can be tricky on some digital cameras but 1/60 th should work with all, and remember to set your white balance to FLASH, and not auto.
