Coherent FAP-81-18c-800-B 18W 800nM High Power Laser Diode TEC Cooled DPSS
Up for auction is a Coherent FAP-81-18c-800-B high power laser diode. Part of the Coherent FAP-B model line. Designed for 18W of output at 800nm. This diode uses an SMA connector for coupling to a fiber. The diode is mounted to a TEC with thermistors for monitoring the temperature of both sides of the TEC. This unit was removed from a machine in working condition. It has been stored with the anode and cathode grounded out to prevent static damage and stored in an ESD protected bag. This is an anamorphic prism that expands the slow axis of high power laser diodes so the beam can be collimated by simple optics or focused well. These are multi wavelength laser diodes mounted in a small collimator assembly. They make up to 20mw of red. 35mw of violet, and 25mw of IR. They are sort of tricky to solder to, but would be good for florescence and absorption spectroscopy among other things. 445nm HIGH POWER 2W+ blue laser diode w/lens from Casio XJ projector
High power 2 Watt + 445nm laser diode pull from Casio XJ Series projector. The finished laser in pics is not for sale. This is to illustrate how you can build an awesome lab or show laser from your own parts. I was not happy with the heat sinking ability of the little Chinese modules available out there. They use a press in diode mount that does nothing for the other side of the diode. I used two back to back press in diode holders and indium foil. That and more copper plates and a one inch fan. This little monster is more efficient than I thought. After testing for 5 minutes it remained cool to the touch even without the fan! In the first pic I did ad a little smoke as it was taken in daylight. The other pic shows it without the smoke. These are ridiculously powerful and hot! I do NOT recommend building a"pointer" from these. They ... moreare just too dangerous. Even a reflection off a window will bounce 8% of the beam back at you. 4% for each side of the glass. To clarify. At 2 watts that would be 160mw. Enough to blind you quick! Great for light show projectors and lab style lasers. This auction is for one 2 watt + laser diode w/shorting block for esd protection and the lens pulled from the same projector only. They will be shipped in an anti-static bag and foam cushioning. The projector these came from had about 600 hours on it. That leaves around 19.400 hrs left on the diode. The photo through my microscope shows the identifying emblem for the 2 watt lasers on the case. The 2 Watts have a circle above the square where the 1 Watts do not. Perfect working condition! Guaranteed not DOA! This is one of those high power Coherent FAP laser diodes that was in a miniature precision welding machine. The diode was used as a spare. and has very low usage. It fits the Optec Mini 2000-30w precision microwelder. 30W at 808nm. It takes about 2.0V at 30A to operate and makes an industrial strength burning laser beam out of the lens on the end. The lens is removable to use on other similar laser diodes. Complete with diode, fiber, TEC Cooler w/ heat sink, focusing head, and FAP adapter to allow use of any size fiber length you need! This unit was originally part of a much larger medical laser machine that was freight damaged. I removed these parts which is all that's needed to make your own welder/cutter. I planned on using it for a CNC laser cutter but that plan got scrapped because my controller died. This laser has very few hours on it. Mainly just testing it out and fitting it to my machine. This can also be used as a pump laser to make a very high power green 532nm laser! It runs on 1.9v-2.0v and about 28 amps max. This is a nearly unused EG&G pin photodiode designed for light detection of lasers and x-ray/neutron scintillators. Bias up to 90V reverse for extreme sensitivity! It was originally intended to be used in a precision niche bio-medical sensing application. RARE High Power Coherent 561nm Yellow Green Nd:Yag KTP Laser Diode Optics Set
This is a main crystal set 1x Nd:yag. And 1x KTP for up to ONE WATT of yellow-green Nd:YAG laser light at 561nm. This wavelength is used in certain biomedical applications and is very close to the human visual peak at 555nm. The color would be very nice and exotic to use for laser light show uses. This crystal set is extremely expensive and almost impossible to find. You need to supply the cavity OC and HR optic mirrors, but they should be easily found from large DPSS optic suppliers. See also my Spectra Physics millennia cable that would make diode pumping the crystal to saturation a simple task. You could also make it lamp pumped with a photo flash tube from a disposable camera if high peak power is needed. This is a Fiber array cable for a spectra physics millennia laser. It adapts a 19 emitter 25W laser diode bar to a 800um fiber bundle. Or it can be used in reverse with a Coherent FAP laser(to 50W) to make a line of energy for pumping a small yag rod such as the one in my other listings. The fiber is a very clean pulled spare part from new old stock laser diode modules that failed confidence testing. The length of the cable is about 17 feet(5 meters) not counting the connectors, and even has the protective end cap on the output end. This is a nice laser diode module that was part of an older micro-array genetic scanner. The module has a modulation/enable input and runs off 12V. The laser diode is TEC cooled and has a rock solid laser diode driver that is far better than any of the current laser diode drivers they make today. One thing you could do is swap the low powered laser diode out for a higher powered unit and make a very nice laser module suitable for laser light shows up to about 200ma actual diode current draw. This is a high power multi mode beam combiner assembly to combine the beams of FAC corrected laser diode bars or multiple collimated discrete laser diodes into a nice big beam for use for beam projection or optical pumping. The mirrors are high quality broad band dielectric mirrors that are coated to reflect light longer than about 420nm to about 860nm. It is optimized for visible light for a high energy laser pumping application(very large ultrafast ti-sapphire laser) But would be great for industrial uses like heat treatment. It has the final slow axis beam collimation optic to form a large 1 inch diameter beam spot. If you need this it could be a great deal! This is the primary collimator assembly from a high end DPSS micro welder engraver. This optic collimates the beam from a FAP laser diode. It turns the flashlight like output of these modules into a laser pointer like beam which was then focused onto a DPSS crystal. The lens diameter is about 3/4 inch. Focal length is about 1.5 inches, and the collimated output beam is about 1/2 inch. I have other optical parts from the dpss laser set up on ebay as well. Here is a used puck diode in heat sink assembly. Diode RQ-40-6-26, I believe by Powerex. Was advised these are 1000 amp or 1200 amp, so am listing as 800 amp to be sure. Good diode pulled from working equipment, and tested out good for opens and shorts. In a heat sink with aluminum base 3-3/4" X 3-3/4" X just over 1/2" thick, with steel top and insulation block body marked SPEC PAC 3, 8712. The diode's white ceramic is 2-1/16" dia. diode is 1" thick(exactly 1.030" and weighs 9.5 oz. entire assembly weighs 2 lbs 5 oz. Perhaps you can use.

High Power Coherent Burning Fiber Laser Diode 835nm 1W Industrial Parts Lot of 2
This is a lot of two 1W 835nm laser diodes. Both diodes are useful for tests and experimentation. But have mechanical problems that prevent their use in an industrial plate setter machine: As follows; one has the pin that is tied to the case broken with a fiber that is coupled to a ST style fiber connector, this diode should have the anode directly tied to the case using a mounting screw. The other diode has the ST connector is missing, output is directly from the fiber itself. Both diodes are tested to function well electrically and optically. These are very good for IR illumination and industrial applications like cutting and engraving. These lasers are extremely hard to find, and unlike the standard bare diodes, you do not need special optics to use it, a simple focusing lens will do. High Power Industrial Coherent Laser Diode 30W 808nm Burning Cutting Beam Gold
This is one of those high power gold laser diodes similar to the one that I offered months ago that was in a miniature precision welding machine. This one however. Came from a really powerful DPSS laser I stripped for parts because the YVO4 was fried. It makes 806nm at 25 deg C which is good for pumping higher power DPSS rods. You can run a little warmer if you want exactly 808nm output for a self-q-switched Yag or similar crystal. It takes about 2.3V at up to 40A to operate and makes an industrial strength burning laser beam out of the lens on the end. Included in the sale is a collimator lens for a welder machine. The lens is removable to use on other similar laser diodes(795-980nm) if you like. These lasers are very hard to find with the matching lens attached.
