A matched pair of vintage germanium 2n1309(PNP for positive ground like original FF) transistors for your Fuzz Face DIY project(the socket shown in the picture is not included but can be added for $1.25 each) These are used parts snipped out of an old electronic devise and are in really good shape. The leads are about 1/4" long. They are great sounding vintage germaniums and are solid devices with good gain, low leakage and are relatively quiet(for vintage gremaniums) Most fall into the 125-175hfe range which is good for higher gain fuzz faces(I prefer this to the really low type, but to each his own) These are very close to one of the germaniums I use in the Fuzzy Lady and Germanium Fuzzy Lady. Most current version(from June 2013) with Bias Controls located on outside of pedal! Great tactile response! Cleans up well with Guitar Volume Control! And I believe that the current version is the definitive version. This is a 2 transistor hybrid fuzz utilizing mixed silicon/Germanium transistor set. The circuit is based on the classic fuzz face circuit, but is by no means a straight up clone. Like the Monsterpiece NPN, the PNP is an extremely musical, dynamic, and responsive fuzz. Original vintage NKT 275 transistors that came out of 60's Dallas arbiter fuzz face pedals. I have 4 matched pairs that were removed from a some older fuzz face pedals that were either used to fix other pedals or parts sold to collectors for various fix up projects. These transistors have been well cared for and used for some boutique fuzz builds in sockets for different sounds in our studio throughout the years. They all work and all sound terrific. They do not disappoint. Wonderful jimi tone to either use to fix your existing Dallas arbiter or build your own fuzz as I've done and be prepared to love fuzz the way jimi did.
