Hitachi KM-1001R Transistor Portable or Car Radio
My grand father didn't leave me much but he did leave me this radio. He was a sap for going to auctions and flea markets and picking up old radios. This radio was meant to be installed in a bracket in a car and could be removed and taken with you. When being used as a portable it would run off'C' cell batteries. I don't have the bracket that went with it. And at the moment I don't have a girlfriend so I don't have anything laying around here that takes'C' cell batteries.

The inside is in"like new" condition with absolutely no corrosion. Only one problem: I CANNOT get the thing to work! I've tried two different sets of batteries and.nothing. This is hard to believe! VINTAGE HITACHI 6 TRANSISTOR TH-666 POCKET RADIO IN BOX & WESTINGHOUSE BROKEN
A pair of old transistor radios. BOTH HAVE SOME DAMAGE AND DO NOT TURN ON. There is a Hitachi TH-666. There is a piece missing on the lower rear cover corner.Battery connections looks good. But it did not seem to do anything. It has the blue cloth and the original box. Set does show some light soiling and wear. There is a westinghouse H798p7. It has a crack in the top corner of rear case, and is missing a small piece from the corner of the front case(front corner damage did not make it into a pic. Battery box does have some corrosion on this radio, I did not try to clean it, as it sits now it will not work. The pair of radios are sold AS IS, not working with some damage for parts or repair. Hitachi Vintage AM FM Transistor Radio Model No. KH-1038R
This is a Vintage Hitachi AM/FM Portable Radio from the late 60's-70's time period. It has push buttons for selecting either Battery/AC power. Turning Off and On, Am/FM Frequency selection, and a AFC select button. There is a Tuning Wheel that turns freely and as indicated in the photos, the frequency dial is clear and easily readable. There are slide controls for both volume and tone. On the side there is a earphone jack. The case is intact without any breaks noted, though there are some scratches, scuff marks, and a few dings from everyday use through the years. Look the pictures over and you should be able to see all there are. Also noted, there appears to be someone's phone number scratched on the bottom but you don't see it unless you turn the radio over. But difficult to bring in local stations. All are six transistor radios, two from Sony, one from Hitachi. The Sony radios have leather covers although the lanyard for the radio on the far right is broken. This lot is being sold AS IS. All three radios do work, make noise, and with difficulty I got them all to play a local radio station. But they don't work well and could use the aid of a transistor radio'handyman' who is able to bring these back to better working order. The Sony radio covers each have two snaps in good working order. All three radios use 9 volt batteries. No batteries will be included. Early Vintage 1958 AMC 6 Transistor Model TR-600 Japan HITACHI TH-621 CLONE
This auction is for an early Vintage AMC Transistor Radio Model TR-600. This radio is from 1958 and is an exact clone of the Hitachi TH-621. The reverse painted gold dial against the glossy black case really set this one apart. The radio did pick up a couple of stations when tested. There is one very small chip on the top back edge as shown in the pictures and some light surface scratches on the back. Would make a nice addition to any transistor radio collection. Enjoy!

Hitachi TH-848 Transistor Radio With Case & Earphone Working
Nice working example of the super Hitachi Japanese Transistor Radio Model TH-848. The radio works. Volume control needs cleaning as it is scratchy. I can pick up 4 stations during the day. No damage to the plastic case. A little staining to the beige plastic but not at all bad. Front looks nice. May want to take chassis out and clean the grille area well and shoot some tuner cleaner in the colume control. The case is in good overall condition with very minor wear. The earphone is in the case but I did not remove it. I would rate this a solid 9 for Japanese Transistor radios. Powered by

Hitachi TH-668 This was the second transistor model radio made by Hitachi. Very uncommon. And"rare" These don't show up everyday. A thin, long coat pocket radio circa 1957-1958. It measures 8 1/4" long x 4 1/4" tall x 1 1/2" wide. It weighs 1 pound 12 ounces[with batteries installed] This one is in super nice condition"and works" click on you-tube link above to see it work] It comes with a case[no straps] Wipe cloth and some paper work in Japanese. I will also include a wiring diagram. The only flaws I noticed on this radio are two fine hairline cracks near the volume dial[see last picture] and some discoloration near the speaker that corresponds to the openings in the case. The color of the radio is an off white, cream color. Radio has an internal antenna and there are no headphones with it. Hitachi vintage AM personal transistor radio Model # TH-801
Here is a nice AM transistor radio that works well and in fair to good condition. It has loud volume with no distortion and picks up station across the dial. I have tried to look up the model# to find the year it was made. But no such luck and can't find another on E-bay. It has to have some age to it, because it is only an AM radio with no FM. Volume control was scratchy, so I cleaned it, problem solved. As with all vintage electronics, radio is sold as is, but plays great. I have done some research on this great radio and have found this model to be referred to as a shirt pocket radio and was mentioned to be the"first shirt pocket radio" I love this transistor and is truly one of the items I will long regret parting with. I purchased this very unique little radio some time ago. I don't see many of these speaker boxes. Super cool and I believe just as rare. This speaker box while in need of a good cleaning is in excellent working condition. If you know about these vintage transistors you know well more than I. What I can tell you about this little set is It works. I place a battery in it and it makes a static noise. I can not pick up a ... morestation. I do not know if this has to do with location or a part that is in need of repair. The radio does show some staining or dark spots as well as a chip missing on the top of the radio. Good sounding Japanese radios made in 1958 and they looked very cool. This one works great. But does have visual issues.the back is painted red, there are some nicks on an actually nice front grille. The chips are on the top back and it could still display OR if you have a non-working 666, this would love a new shell. Questions always answered!
