Thermwood CNC Cartesian 5 3 axis control, Complete
1989 Thermwood Cartesian 5 3 axis router control cabinet. Complete. This unit was removed from functional service approx. 60 days ago to retrofit the machine with a different industrial controller. The machine was running without errors prior to removal and there is no reason it shouldn't turn right back on when hooked into another Thermwood machine. This particular unit has 3 axis of servo control, complete comm boards, programming pendant, etc. Nothing has been removed or altered since it was pulled from service. All of the machine leads were removed at the control via the terminal blocks. No wiring was cut. Also included in this auction is a complete Cartesian 5 factory manual including electrical schematics, programming guides, etc. The cabinet has an A/C unit which doesn't appear to be functioning at the moment. All of the air ... moreconditioner components look fine but there are a few wires which are loose. Its operation may require some tinkering. The control cabinet is in very good condition and includes floor stand feet(not installed at time of photos) which lift the box approx. 14" off the floor. Shipping will be the responsibility of the buyer. We will bolt the unit to a pallet and deliver it to nearby shipping depots. This will be included in the auction.

Older Model 67 5-axis router with dual 5' x 5' tables. I am the second owner. The first upgraded this unit to the Thermwood 91000 super controller. This unit has a 36" Z, tool changer, tool height setter, and dual 5ft extruded T-Slot tables that can be joined to one 5' x 10' work envelope. From the pictures you can see we have replaced the old CRT monitor with a flat panel display. It is currently under power. For those who are familiar with the Thermwood brand; this unit can be upgraded to today's controller with new motors and encoders for ~$40k.
