SUPERB HARDY“JET” 9FT Wt#6 FIBRE TUBE TROUT FLY ROD Exquisite 2-piece rod with blue Hardy bag AND Hardy 3¼" Viscount 130 fly reel + case WITH Full length Wt#6F fly line A complete Hardy package with which you could literally walk straight down to the water's edge and start fishing. The JET 6 is a great 2-piece lake/reservoir trout fly rod from Hardy Brothers of Alnwick. England being 9ft(275cm) in length and in great condition. Please see my photos. It casts a weight#6 line and is made from Hardy's Fibre-Tube and dates from 1972- the letters H/O scripted on the fibre-tube indicates this date. To compliment this super rod I have included a Hardy Viscount 130- 3.25" fly reel(with case) which is loaded with a floating Wt#6 fly line(it being of a light blue colour is probably Air-Cel) The rod casts the line magnificently ... moreand balances perfectly. All the rings. On the rod, are intact and show little or no wear or grooving with the spigot join giving a perfectly tight fit with no slackness and is connected by lining the figure 68 up on both sections- this aligns all the rings correctly. All the rings, with the exception of the first one, are made of(I think) tungsten and are snake eyes. The first ring is a small round ring with a ceramic insert. The original orange whippings are all immaculate and I can recall there being the same colour as my Hardy Jet 6 rod from the early 1970s. So can positively say they are original. The Hardy reel seating is threaded and of a light alloy with a little bit of tarnishing while the corks are immaculate. Which is a bit of a surprise, as the original plastic cover has not been removed which would usually cause some sweating of the corks- but none whatsoever is evident. I would, however, suggest that the lucky winner of this super rod& reel package remove the covering and let the corks breathe. As far as the Hardy Viscount 130 reel is concerned it is in excellent working condition and dates from the 1940/50s. It has a sliding centre latch. For removing the spoo

Sage XP 9ft 6 inch 4 piece 7 wt Fly fishing rod
This Sage XP rod is in Superb condition. It has had very little usage and has spent all of the past 5 years sitting in its rod tube gathering dust. in my rod room Hence the reason for sale- I just don't find the opportunity to use it. It comes complete with original cloth bag and aluminium rod tube. The only real sign of wear is not on the rod. But on the rod tube, where the circular edge suffered mild abrasion after dragging a heavy holdall containing the rod through San Francisco airport- the cordura wore through and there was some minor abrasion to the rod tube. I've attached a picture in order to provide a fair view of this items condition. In summary a super rod from the legendary Sage XP range waiting to find an owner with the opportunity to use it!

Hardly used Sage Z- Axis 690-4 Fly Fishing Rod, The rod has been very lightly used and well taken care of, could use a very light amount of waxing. The rod does not show any real signs of wear. And no damage to the cork or the rod itself, its a great pole for any fly fisher alike, very light weight and sturdy, The rod has some light enamel loss, in spots nothing very noticeable and nothing that takes away from the value of this fantastic piece. The Container has some signs of wear and has been sitting in a garage for some time. The wording has rubbed off lightly as you can see in the images, as well as the cloth carrying case has some stains on it, and in the back it shows where there are fray marks, which are imaged, none of this is damage that impairs use, its only cosmetic Bushings ... morethat hold the reel in are told to be real silver. Hardy Brothers Rare Vintage 1970 Richard Walker Reservoir 9ft 6" Fly Rod.
For auction we have a Hardy Brothers Richard Walker Reservoir Fly Rod.This rod is a super rare F/K marked rod which makes it made around 1970 and was only made for two or three years and it was in effect the prototype for the Richard Walker series of rods.The whipping color is different to the later long running series and the reel seat is of an end butt type which was not used on a rod of this size as the series developed. It also has an early type spigot joint.It is 9 foot 6 inch in length and is unusually not marked for a line weight.I would guess it would be around an#8.This rod is in amazing condition for its age and hardly has a mark on it,it may never have been fished,the butt and tip eyes are lined and the cork is superb.Comes with bag which may be original but has no markings and original label,Rod will be shipped in a plastic tube ... morefor protection.This is a chance to own an almost impossible to find early Hardy Glass rod with connections to the iconic Richard Walker.
