Summa DC3 40" Large Format CMYK Printer / Contour Cutter
This is a Summa DC3 large format CMYK color printer with contour cutter. It's great for signs and banners and will print on a variety of 40" materials available from the Summa USA online store. Including banner material. Alternatively if you have a local vinyl supplier, you can have a 48" x 50 yard roll or white vinyl cut down to 40" for use in the DC3 as we have been doing for years. It uses CMYK ribbons from Summa and has a few extra cartridge bays for spot colors. Includes the CMYK cartridges that are in it plus white and deep blue spot colors. Black is at 10% all others are over 50% Also includes a roll of white calendered vinyl that is over half full and a roll of Summa's clear cast vinyl which is down to less than 25% Includes 4 end flanges to insert into media rolls. These fit into the rolling carriage inside ... morethe printer and keep the roll centered. Includes USB driver, USB cable, Printer Port HASP security device, Summa Color Control Rip software and Summa Printer Control configuration utility. Includes two baskets that attach to the front and back to catch print jobs. There are also rollers on the front of the machine for extremely large jobs that may require a take-up roll. It does a great job on signs. Logos and large decals meant to be viewed from a distance. These can be up to 36" wide and can be tiled for even larger jobs. Windows, buildings, vehicle wraps, this machine can do it! It's also good for simple, solid color decals as small as 1/2" and can crank out hundreds, even thousands of them at a time. I use Corel Draw 11 to create vector images for contour cutting but Adobe Illustrator will also work for that. Neither are included with this printer. I've always exported my vector files as EPS and printed them that way but it will also print PDF, JPEG and other formats. Summa DC3 Printer with Contour Cut
This auction is for a used Summa DC3 large-format CMYK printer with contour cutter. It is in great condition and hasn't seen a whole lot of use with only 1289 square feet of print coverage over the past 6 years. That's what. Just under 3 rolls of vinyl? Needless to say, this printer has a LOT of life left in it before it will ever need maintenance. It does need ink ribbons though. It's out of black and the other three colors are less than half full. It includes white and deep blue spot colors. White is for printing on transparent material and the deep blue matches our company logo perfectly. There is a roll of calendared vinyl in the machine but there's not much left so it will need a fresh roll of vinyl too. Actual print width is right around 36 inches and it is great for large signs and wall graphics. I have used it to fully wrap a Chevy Suburban and have made logos over 6 feet in diameter for box trucks and windows. Fortunately. Needing ink and vinyl means SAVINGS! WOOHOO! We are letting this one go for cheap. I mean. it sold for almost 25 grand when it was new and we are starting the bidding at 3 grand.
