Roland, Large Format, Eco Sol Printer & Cutter model SP300 SP-300
Greetings fellow ebayers. Up for auction here is one. Roland SP300 Printer/Cutter. It accepts 30" media for printing and cutting. I am the 2nd owner of this printer. I bought it the first of this year and replaced one printhead, the ink lines, all dampers and cap tops. As you can see from the nozzle test picture, the head I replaced(magenta and yellow) prints perfectly, the other one not so much. The cyan/black head looks bad, but it still prints OK when I set it on quality mode and slow the carriage down 2 clicks. I just printed the picture of the nurse. You can buy a new, solvent printhead here on ebay for about $700. I bought this printer because I could not get the printed I had before to print good skin tones. This one does a great job of printing skin tones. But, now I need a printer that is slightly larger. So, instead of buying ... morea new printhead for this printer, I want to put that cash into buying a slightly larger printer. A new Roland SP-300i will cost you about $14,000. For about one third of that you can be in business with this one. The software that came with this printer is ColoRip 2.1. It works perfectly. What you see on the screen is what comes out of the printer. But it is only a Rip& Print program. You need a design program to get your design ready to be ripped and printed. I will incluse working copies of Roland VersaWorks and FlexiSign Pro 8.1. In order to use VersaWorks with this printer you have to change it into a SP300V. I will supply the instructions for this change. All you have to do is change one number in the setup menu and flip one dipswitch on the main board. One great thing about this printer is that you can design and print directly from CorelDraw. No other software is needed. I tried it and it works perfectly. I think you can also design and print directly from Adobe Illustrator, too, but I have not tried that. By the way, the contour cutting feature of this printer works great. Roland CJ-500 SC-500 54" Eco Solvent Printer Cutter wide format plotter heaters
This is a Roland CJ-500 that has been converted to an SC-500. It has front& rear heaters with built in temperature controllers. It is running on Roland OEM Eco-SOL Max inks and has never used 3rd party inks. This printer is in excellent condition and has perfect test prints. All of the main components were changed out when it was converted so the print heads have seen very little use. It currently only has 716 print hours on it and it had roughly 500 when it was converted) This is a hybrid machine that can be used as just a printer. A print& cut machine, or a stand alone vinyl cutter/plotter. It also has the capability of auto-detecting registration marks so that the prints can be laminated, loaded back into the machine, then contour cut. This is a Summa DC3 large format CMYK color printer with contour cutter. It's great for signs and banners and will print on a variety of 40" materials available from the Summa USA online store. Including banner material. Alternatively if you have a local vinyl supplier, you can have a 48" x 50 yard roll or white vinyl cut down to 40" for use in the DC3 as we have been doing for years. It uses CMYK ribbons from Summa and has a few extra cartridge bays for spot colors. Includes the CMYK cartridges that are in it plus white and deep blue spot colors. It was purchased two years ago and I have maintained it regularly. It has been offline for a few months as we are no longer in the print business. This is a top of the line 60" machine with every option that was available including front heater to speed drying and the auto take-up reel. Perfect for vehicle wraps and billboards! She is the second owner and sale includes the FULL SERVICE manual for servicing printer. She purchased with intent on printing larger items but has taken most of her business toward the embroidery and dye-sub. Due to health the 54" and 60" rolls are too much for her.
