When these plotters were last tested. The IPF8100 was diagnosed to have a bad Left PF-03 printhead, and the IPF5000 to have a bad Right PF-03 printhead. I figured that I could take the good left printhead from the IPF5000 and put it in the IPF8100. But the 8100's print head carrier is locked without ink. This lot is best for a plotter or Canon technician. BUYER MUST SCHEDULE PICK-UP OF THIS ITEM. WE WILL NOT SHIP IT! Warranty: Sold as-is. For parts or repair. Returns will not be accepted. Canon IPF 6100 24" Wide Large Format Printer Plotter Pigment ink- Needs Re-Furb Unit is not in working condition Unit insists on a"Please close cover error" This machine has very low miles on it. Very clean inside as you can see in the photos. There is no longer a basket attached to the stand. Stand is included. Ink is installed and at different levels. Machine has been down for a while so it probably will need a print head or flush of print head. It performed well and created beautiful prints. When it was operating. One day just gave us the close cover error. And we never had the chance to deal with it. This machine needs someone who knows how to refurbish it. Also could be a good parts unit. this unit doesn't work. come up with close carriage mesage. it worked at my friends place i have some pics from before the one with total sqare foot printed which is under a 1000! No inks or maintainece cartrige this printer has been off for about 3 months now. There r no heads. Over all very good shape has few scraches from the move i did. this is pick up in person or shipping but u arange it and i won't be able to place it on skid. if u pick it up in person cash only. it is NOT working SOLD AS IS for parts or repair. no refounds or exchanges. price refects it i think. The machine sometimes works. I bought 2 new print heads. New ink and it still not 100 percent working. The problem is that the machine sometimes has an error. The error is" motor Cam sensor. I thought it was the printheads according to research. Bought new printheads and it still sometimes has that error and sometimes it works great. Selling it as parts. My daughter is an artist. And her gallery sent her this Canon iPF 6400 plotter/printer. It was supposed to be used to help her create larger pieces. She had huge paper and was supposed to precision cut paper for her art by using this as a large paper cutter. She used it to cut twice. She never printed, so the printer cartridges are completely full. She has since moved and this printer is in my basement taking up a lot of space. She has given me permission to sell it, since she never really got any use from it, and never learned to use it to it's fullest extent. It is in excellent condition, and was put together in the basement and has been there for approximately 5 months. The basement is temperature controlled and has no moisture issues, dampness, etc. It is too huge for me to ship, so local pickup only.
