It is missing it's wire catches along the frame and is parallel interface only; no USB. There are cartridges installed but I believe they are mostly empty save the black which reads as full. The cartridges and ink nozzles/ print heads condition is not known nor is the total page count. We tried using a different roll of paper than that specified and could not get it to print anything. There is a network card installed but it is not tested either. The parallel port works and my computer picked it up right away but you will have to watch for driver incompatibility(we were using Vista and could not find an effective driver for it) Above are some ... morescreen shots and the cartridge carriage moved back and forth with no issues. The stand is in good shape as are the castors. The printer has some discoloration but not a lot. Overall good shape for it's age and sold as is. Only the single red light on the front went on and it wouldn't start up. We removed a couple of cards and reinstalled them and once again it worked once, but then it wouldn't work after that. We have had it working since, but it seems to only work very intermittently. When it does power on it goes through all of it's self-checks properly, though we never had a chance to print with it. This is a Roland CJ-500 that has been converted to an SC-500. It has front& rear heaters with built in temperature controllers. It is running on Roland OEM Eco-SOL Max inks and has never used 3rd party inks. This printer is in excellent condition and has perfect test prints. All of the main components were changed out when it was converted so the print heads have seen very little use. It currently only has 716 print hours on it and it had roughly 500 when it was converted) This is a hybrid machine that can be used as just a printer. A print& cut machine, or a stand alone vinyl cutter/plotter. It also has the capability of auto-detecting registration marks so that the prints can be laminated, loaded back into the machine, then contour cut. kyocera km-4850w Wide Format Plotter CAD 24x36
Plotter needs repair- has 245k sq ft on counter. This unit is good for around 1M sq ft. So if you get this unit fixed it will have a lot of life left. Was working flawlessly until a week ago and has an error code"call service" I got a quote of $200 from kyocera to come diagnose it and clean it. This unit is pretty fast and prints(6) 24x36 in 1 minute, but warm up takes about 5 min before 1st plot comes out. I decided to just buy a new plotter and not repair this. Sold as-is.
