This is a Roland CJ-500 that has been converted to an SC-500. It has front& rear heaters with built in temperature controllers. It is running on Roland OEM Eco-SOL Max inks and has never used 3rd party inks. This printer is in excellent condition and has perfect test prints. All of the main components were changed out when it was converted so the print heads have seen very little use. It currently only has 716 print hours on it and it had roughly 500 when it was converted) This is a hybrid machine that can be used as just a printer. A print& cut machine, or a stand alone vinyl cutter/plotter. It also has the capability of auto-detecting registration marks so that the prints can be laminated, loaded back into the machine, then contour cut. Roland SP300. Works! Heads OK! This is the original SP300. Unit is well used but prints correctly. These older Roland Units do require some TLC to get the best possible print. And this one is no exception. Unit was recently serviced by dealer. Has recently received new pinch rollers, new calibration strip, new liner calibration sensor. Has new dampers and caps. Occassionally will glitch on print and cut operations whereby it stops contour cutting. I haven't figured out this glitch yet so expect it from time to time. If your prints rarely need to be contour cut. Then you'll likely have few issues with this other than the normal TLC these older SP300's require. FYI. The later versions used 4 heads. This original ones use two heads and is the reason for the TLC. Black and Cyan use one head, Yellow and Magenta use the other head. ... moreThe issue is sometimes the colors cross contaminate and the solution is a deep clean cycle to purge the ink from the head and get fresh ink into the head. This is a 6 head high quality high speed printer with the built in cutter. Roland Versaworks included with sale. Just take home set-up and print. May need to flush a few of lines as it doesnt get used a whole lot and some of the one blue channel nozzles are clogged but should clean out pretty easy. She has some flushing cartridges for it. We were going to flush it but did not in case buyer wanted to run a test print. This is the perfect reliable unit for someone either starting out or expanding.
