750 Volt AC Analog Panel Meter, Vintage Westinghouse
This meter goes to 750 Volts in 10 Volt increments. Faceplate reads 35/1 ratio HOWEVER that must be with an external resistor that I don't have. I tested it, and the meter without the resistor has a ratio of 5/1. F.S.= 150 Volts, 15 to 150 Cycles, Insulation rating is 750 Volts. The scale goes to 750 Volts but the numerical numbers to 600. ANTIQUE VINTAGE WESTON 564 3C VOM VOLT-OHMMETER BAKELITE TESTER MULTIMETER NICE

Weston 564 3C Volt-Ohmmeter VOM Volts Ohms Antique Vintage Bakelite Tester- Weston Matched Test Unit 1940's Takes Duracell PX21 Alkaline 4.7V Batteries or Equivalent in Parallel Weston Electrical Instrument Company 1930's to 1940's. Quality Electrical Test Meter- Made in USA(DESCRIPTON) For a portable test meter nearly 70 years old. This is in really good overall condition. This is a Weston 564 VOM and though has some fairly common wear/marks/signs of use, you'll be hard pressed to find a nicer one. This meter takes three 4.7V batteries in parallel and these batteries are still available on eBay. I see some owners modify 564's with newer plastic 3-battery trays/holders but this one is still original with a thick copper battery holder. The batteries look like they might be older Duracell sleeves containing button-cell ... morebatteries but either way they need to be replaced(there's signs they're beginning to go bad) but I see no leakage or corrosion to meter thankfully. This is the 564 3C version which I read was the revised 3rd& final version with the most features(there was also a 3A& 3B) Please see our many other listings for more Weston 301's(and Simpson, Westinghouse& more) and a lot of other upcoming vintage test instruments& panel meters. The two largest blemishes noted were reasonably common small chips to the underside edges of the front plastic cover. This meter's needle deflects nicely and zeros correctly, a brief test showed it reads pretty accurately(showed +/14V) for voltage using a 13.8VDC power supply, knobs& switches seem to switch nicely- not fully tested but looks well cared for and very promising. Auction is for one Weston 564 3C in good condition only no other accessories paperwork etc. Did you know that Weston purchased Simpson Electric a long time ago? Numbers go from 0 to 75 on the meter. Of which the number panel is loose and has a dark age color. Under D.C. Volts is printed: RES- 10.000 OHMS" This item is rusty. This vintage Simpson 50 Volt AC meter is in very good condition and spent it's life in an R&D laboratory as part of in-house manufactured test equipment. Was removed, tested and stored for future use. It was probably made in the 1930's and is a really cool looking meter that will enhance whatever you put it on! The face measures approx. 4-3/4" wide X 3-1/2" high X 2" from front to back of terminal studs. I purchased it from my former employer who was in the electronics manufacturing business for over 70 years. This has been checked against a Fluke True RMS laboratory DVM, and the two had no very appreciable difference, but I cannot guarantee absolute accuracy as I don't have a calibrated ... moremeter or source recently certified to NBS. The range is 0 to 150 positive and negative.The diameter of the meter is 3.75" I tested the meter with 25v DC and the meter deflection was as accurate as the 5v graduations will allow. The zeroing screw is functioning. I did not perform a current measuring test.
