FLUXMETER by Sensitive Instrument Research Company , model F 1945
Up for auction is a used fluxmeter made by the Sensitive Instrument Research Company. The paper tag on the inner top lid indicates that this is a model F and was checked in 1945. There are two probes included and the larger one measures 15 Ohms as specified but the smaller one measures only a few Ohms. Not sure about the smaller probe. I opened the unit up and there is what appears to be a single 1.5 Volt"C" type cell as the power source. It had corroded and leaked so I cleaned up the holder a bit just enough to try a fresh cell but the unit still did not seem to work. The needle on the meter seems to be rubbing against the scale a bit. I have seen on some older meters that the scale will separate slightly from the backing enough to hinder the needle movement and this could possibly be repaired. There are no active devices I could ... moresee inside. Just coils and switches. There are a few cosmetic issues(see photos) like a broken strap. A crack on the bottom of the wood case. Surface scratches, but considering its age I feel it is in good condition considering it is about 70 years old. Please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns. I have not tested the AC measuring ability or resistance. Though the case has seen some wear. There is no indication that the other functions are not working. The serial number on the unit is 2531. I have not found any probes to use with this unit.

Vintage Springfield Instrument Company Thermometer & Humidity Weather Station
This is a vintage Springfield Thermometer Humidity Meter wall hanging weather station. It measures approx. 12 1/4" tall. And 7 1/8" wide. The weather station is made of plastic. It has a loop at the top for wall hanging. The wall hanger is made of metal. There are no chips or cracks in the weather station. There is a small scuff mark on the top of the gold thermometer ring that can be seen on my last photograph. This is the only flaw that I can see on the weather station, just wanted to point this out. Over all the weather station is in very good condition.
